Weekly Focus: Reading: We will work on author’s point of view in reading this week. We are also working on using the RACE strategy to create constructed responses.

Science: We are beginning our oil spill unit. Students will become engineers again and problem solve. In the meantime, they will also be studying for an ecosystem test. Ecosystem Test- Nov. 10

Mercedes Marathon Kids Mercedes Marathon is right around the corner! This is one of our favorite events and we encourage you to sign up. We would LOVE to have a record number of students running from Central. Our goal this year is for 150 of you to join us on February 11th.

We will be running here at Central, however you are encouraged to complete your mileage outside of school. We will keep a running log on our gym bulletin board so you know the distance you’ve completed in P.E.
