hree defending state champions will play in this year’s Edith Sanford Breast Center Girls Pentagon Classic Saturday at the Sanford Pentagon, 2210 W. Pentagon Place in northwestern Sioux Falls. The nine-game event pairs high school girls basketball teams from South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota. Reigning South Dakota champions Sioux Falls Washington (Class AA) and St. Thomas More (Class A) and Nebraska Class C2 defending title holder Crofton are among this year’s field of 18 teams. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. All games will be played on the Heritage Court of the Pentagon, home to the Skyforce, the NBA D-League affiliate of the Miami Heat.
