Golden Gate Christian Reformed Church, (GGCRC) located in the heart of San Francisco, is celebrating its 50th Anniversary, November 15, 2015. It will be a Sunday morning celebration and worship (10:30 AM) of God's abundant blessings upon our church, followed by a luncheon at a nearby restaurant. GGCRC, from its humble beginnings in 1965, aims to bridge the new Chinese immigrants from Asian countries across the ocean. Today, on a regular Sunday morning, it has 3 different language services, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, meeting at 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM, reaching out to different people from multi-cultural background. Despite its recent high cost of housing, San Francisco continues to be an attractive city bringing in new immigrants from different countries from Asia. Youth fellowship includes both English and Chinese speaking youth. AWANA, an international organization that reaches out to children, is also an active part of our children's ministry. To reach out to the local community, Agape Community Center (ACC), a ministry of GGCRC, has been a vital part of our daily operation. It provides adult classes, such as, English and Chinese classes, Tai-Chi, Ballroom Dancing, Cooking, Health Exercise and Senior Morning Tea. Special Events include computer workshops, health workshops and outdoor trips. The Children Programs are the Toddler Program and the Agapeland Summer Program. ACC provides holistic social services and programs to all ages within the community, connecting and bridging people to come to know who Jesus is. Please visit www.ggcrc.org for more information.
