OPERATION OF GOLF CARTS AND LOW SPEED VEHICLES IN THE CITY OF MESQUITE This information sheet is intended to assist in answering some frequently asked questions involving registration and operation of Golf Carts and LSV (Low Speed Vehicles) in the City of Mesquite Low Speed Vehicles that meet the requirements of the State of Nevada, can be registered through the Department of Motor Vehicles and receive vehicle registration. These vehicles are issued full size license plates and must carry insurance. Low Speed Vehicles can travel on all City of Mesquite roadways that are posted 35 mph and under. Golf Carts which are not registered as a Low Speed Vehicle may travel on designated City of Mesquite roadways for the purpose of accessing a golf course from your residence or temporary abode. These streets are identified on the Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Golf Cart Travel Map. We would like to emphasize the use of Golf Carts in the City of Mesquite is not intended for general transportation. Operators should not use Golf Carts for the purpose of shopping, running errands or general travel inside the City. Drivers should operate the vehicles safely in the roadway and not on sidewalks or walking trails, and obey all traffic laws.

On City of Mesquite roadways which are approved for golf cart use(See Map) In the City of Mesquite LSV (Low Speed Vehicle) may be operated; 1. On all city streets posted 35 mph and below after properly registered with the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles.
