Position Purpose: The Golf Equipment/Shop Manager oversees a comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair program for all the golf course maintenance equipment, tools, and facilities. Principal Responsibilities: • • • • • • •

Inspects, diagnose, and supervises the repairs of all golf course maintenance equipment and tools Oversees and prioritizes the work of the Assistant Mechanic Responsible for a comprehensive maintenance program with budget accountability Prioritizes equipment repair and preventative maintenance Instructs and/or trains golf course maintenance staff regarding preventative maintenance, safe operation, and cleaning of equipment. Maintains a safe, organized, and clean shop area and yard Provides support and help to other departments and residents as needed

Experience Requirements • • • • • • •

5 years-experience as a golf course equipment technician Knowledge of gasoline/diesel engines and mowing equipment Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and facilitate repairs Understanding of new technology in the golf course industry Ability to effectively communicate and instruct Possession of a driver’s license in good standing with the State of Arizona Must be able to be covered under the Association's auto policy
