Mission Statement: To provide a social and charitable organization for women in the North Allegheny community. We aim to unite women in the North Allegheny community through service.

Our newly established group has been around for less than a year and we have accomplished so much in that short time! We served our community through a number of service projects and had some lovely social events too. Just to name a few...we provided school supplies to children in our community, we supplied a “meal train” for a few months for a family in our neighborhood, we donated winter coats to needy adults and children in our community, and we brightened the day for at least 50 seniors at The Wexford Healthcare Center. We also had a festive night out at Narcisi Winery and even started a book club! That's certainly a lot of good tidings, comfort, and joy over the course of eight months.

Wexford Healthcare Center This performance was definitely a hit with the residents. Comments from the residents were very complimentary. One even said that she would be telling her daughter, a North Allegheny resident, about our group because she thought she would like to join. They were astounded by Bethany's beautiful voice and by how charming the children were. The cookies were a real treat for the residents, with many of them asking for second, third, or fourth helpings!

There are so many wonderful things to look forward to as we continue to grow. The new year ahead will surely be filled with lots of fun, laughter, good will, and excitement for our group. Thank you for making this group such a blessing, to each of us individually and to the community as a whole. We sure are "uniting women through service" and it feels amazing!

Thank yous: Thanks to Bethany for orchestrating all of the music and practices with the children. Thank you to our activities committee: Crystal, Anita and Nancy, for coordinating our visit. Thank you to Nancy, Gale and Anita (and others!) for all of the delicious cookies, punch and cozy socks that were donated. All NAWA members, and the kiddos, had a wonderful time at Anita's home making bracelets for the female residents prior to this event. Thank you, Anita, for hosting our jewelry making session.
