GROUPED! Version 1.1

Your life GROUPED! Do you belong to some interest or hobby groups? Do you share same interests with someone? Do you want to collect interesting places with location and remarks in easy to use private or shared collections? Do you plan a trip? GROUPED! can share your real-time location to selected shared GROUPED group created and invited by you. GROUPED! can track other invited and joined group members in real time. With GROUPED! you can collect your places together and easily start navigation to those destinations.

You can add places to groups. Places can be added with your location, coordinates or with address. Information for places and users includes name, description, image and valid scheme (url or app). And because of GROUPED! Firebase real time database every single update is instantly available for every user of your shared group. GROUPED! map shows users who are online and moving and what was their last known location. Turn on nearby notifications and you will be notified when another user or place of your group is nearby. Chat room is open for places and users. Every place and user have it’s own shared chat room. There is also a chat for every shared GROUPED group (GRPD) too, of course. You can also share images within chat. You can create new groups and share them to your family, friends or interest groups. All data, “chat rooms” and images are open only to those who are invited to the same group. And there are no uninvited guests lurking around. Every single group user is listed within group users. Your location is shared ONLY to one active group at a time. So create groups for work and freetime and change active group whenever you want. Of course you can turn off location sharing if necessary.

All you need is to create an account with email or sign in with your existing Google, Facebook or Twitter account and link it with GROUPED! app. GROUPED! is powered by Firebase, real-time database from Google. Therefore you can count on GROUPED! authentication, speed and availability.

Sign In - Sign Out Read Service Terms and Privacy Policy: “By using the Service, you signify that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by GROUPED! Terms of Service and to the collection and use of your information as set forth in the GROUPED! Privacy Policy, whether or not you are a registered user of our Service.” Create new account using email address or sign in using your existing Email, Google, Facebook or Twitter account. If you choose to create new account, you can later link it to your Facebook and/or Twitter account. After successful first time signing in, your account is ready to use and signing in is done silently and automatically. When you are signed in, the Sign In action changes to Sign Out action. Sign out is done by sliding action row to left and selecting Sign Out. You do not need to sign out when you close the app. Only sign out when you want to use different account or to hide your account from others using the same device. You may use multiple accounts in one device, but it may be impractical to do so.

Profile View Profile view is your management view to your user details, signIn providers, user actions, group actions , application actions and also quick action access for joined groups. Actions are selected by sliding row to left and selecting an action. You may change your photo, name and email-address. You may allow/deny location sharing and nearby notifications. If you have profile image at your sign in provider, you can retrieve it at photo editing page action. Remark that if you change your profile image, it will not change your image used in your active group! All group user images must be changed separately and may be different in every group you belong to. But if you create a new group, it will copy your profile data and image to group user. In this way your group personality (image, name, description) can be different than your real user personality. Sign In Providers is a list of linked accounts to this user. You may link multiple accounts to one user, but you can not link two email providers (Email and Google) into one account. You may link Google or Email, Facebook and Twitter into one user account. In practise this means that you may use all your linked sign in methods to sign in to the same GROUPED user account. You may also unlink sign in provider from account, but remember that if you unlink the sign in method and sign out, you can’t get in into your account using that provider. Unlinking your last or only sign in provider is not allowed! If you in some reason need to unlink sign in provider, link another provider first and then unlink provider. User actions are for changing password, linking other sign in provider or to verify your email address. Your email address needs to be verified before application allows you to create new groups. If you choose to use Google as sign in, your address is automatically verified. Group actions are to delete, join or create shared group (GRPD). These actions are quick actions for those who know exactly the shared group GID keys. GID will be asked and it must match to existing GID in join and delete

actions. Create new group with create. Group page will be explained later in this guide.

Application actions: Info, Feedback, Invite Selecting Info will open Grouped info page from Internet. Selecting Feedback will open feedback page from Internet. With Invite you can send invitations to other persons you think are interested in GROUPED!. Invite is a deep link to GROUPED! application and Apple App Store to download application. Do not change the link. It won't work if link is changed. Groups Joined actions: Leave, Share, Use Group can be shared from list of Groups Joined. Sharing can be done with all communication applications supported by your device. Sharing group is done with deep link to application and to Apple App Store. If receiver has GROUPED installed pressing link will open application and then open profile page and join to shared group. If receiver does not have GROUPED! application installed, link will forward the receiver to Apple App Store to download the GROUPED! App. If needed receiver may press link multiple times to fulfill all actions needed to complete installation and join to shared group (GRPD). Touching or pressing (3D Touch capable phones) selected row in Joined Groups leads you to Group View.

Group View Create new group with create group . You will be asked for group name first. Then you will be directed to group detail page where you can add description, group URL and select image for the group. Image may be taken by camera or chosen from device photos or image gallery. Only owner of group may alter group image and data. Creating group is restricted to 10 groups in this beta version of GROUPED! app. Creating group is the first task of starting a shared group (GRPD) which is the key element of GROUPED! app. Group can be shared from group page or from the list of Groups Joined in Profile page. Sharing can be done with all communication applications supported by your device. Your default group can be shared, but should only seldom be shared with others. You need verified email address to create new groups. If group is owned by someone else you can not change it’s properties. Group ID (GID) is the key and password to groups. You may manually enter group key to join to shared group or you may use share and join actions. Group statistics, owner and creating time are shown for info and group type is for later use. Chat

Chat action opens group chat for selected group. In this way you can check latest chats from every joined group without selecting group for use.

you can create new group for personal or shared use. you can share that group to someone. you can start using selected group.

With Remove User you can leave from selected group. Do not leave group if you plan to use it later. Leaving group will delete group from the list of joined groups and you need to join to group again to get access to group data. All places created by you will stay in group until group owner deletes them. If you are the group owner leaving is not accepted. Group owner must delete group instead of leaving.

Delete action will delete group totally. Only owner of the group can delete group. Deleting groups should not happen easily, but it can be done if verified during delete action. Other group users will see notification in Groups Joined list to leave deleted group immediately.

Map View Map View is essential to GROUPED! On map view you can see your active group’s places and users on map. Users are colored with green circle, if user is online and sharing real-time location. If user’s circle is gray, then user is not sharing location or offline. Colored user indicator at the bottom of the circle ● is blue, if it shows you on the map. ● is green, if the marked user shares location ● Is white, if user does not share location. Places are indicated with blue circle and blue map point if they are created by you. If created by others, gray circle and white map point

At the bottom of map screen there are all places and users showed in horizontally scrollable image list. Places can be added by 1. pressing point on the map (2 secs) and the new place is added to the coordinate where map was pressed. 2. selecting add action from action bar and the new place is added 1. to your current location or 2. to given coordinates (latitude,longitude) or 3. to given address. 3. taking photo with device camera and the new place with photo is added to your current location. If map is pressed only a short time, user is urged to press longer or to choose action to change map type. Map type on map view is circulated from normal to satellite and from satellite to satellite flyover and then back to normal. In map view you can open profile view location

Places and users can be selected from map or from scrollable image list. Deep pressing or long pressing (2 secs) opens detail view of selected place or user.

Detail View Detail View is for managing places and getting detailed information from users and places. Information includes detail image, name, description, detail URL, location in coordinates and location in address. Detail image can be changed with new image from camera

Distance to location is calculated if route is selected. Map type can be changed by repeatedly pressing the same detail map action. Map type is circulated from normal to satellite and from satellite to satellite flyover and back to normal. If detail view shows user, real time movement is updated on map, if user shares location updates. Green user circle is showing that. If user circle is gray then user does not share real location and location is the last known location and the time of that location is shown in parenthesis of detail coordinate field. If the detail user is you, you can change your image, name, description, URL and even your location to whatever you need. But remember that, if you share location updates, the next location update by your device will change location again. If detail view shows place then blue circle indicates that place is created by you and gray circle that is created by someone else. Application allows you to edit only places that are created by you! Remark: Shared group (GRPD) creator/owner has also rights to modify group places and users for group maintenance reasons. Pressing URL icon at right of detail URL opens URL scheme. With delete action you can delete place from application. Only places created by you may be deleted. Those are marked with blue circle and blue point mark. Group owner has also rights to delete places and clear users, but it is not normally recommended to do so. If detail is user and *you* it is marked also with * *-marks at page title and you may use delete action to clear your location, chat room and saved original image. If place or user is not created by you and you are not the group owner of the shared group (GRPD) in use, you will see report action in place of delete . Report action is for reporting objectionable content or abusive user to GROUPED! Team. Chat action opens chat for selected place or person. Each detail has it’s own public chat where text and images can be used. Remember that chat is open to all group users.

With share action you can share detail image, name and description with your device messaging apps.

Image views Deep or long pressing (2 secs) of detail, group or profile image opens new view where image can been viewed, zoomed and selected to be cropped. Simply touch image to start cropping of image. Compose action opens menu with actions: Crop image : Image may be zoomed, cropped, rotated or set to certain scale. Make Profile : As Crop but image is cropped also to circle shape. Select New and Crop : New image is selected from device images and then cropped. Select New and Make Profile : New image is selected from device images and cropped to circle shape. Use Provider Image and Crop : Image is retrieved from provider used to sign in and then cropped as above. This action is only available when you are editing your own profile image and when provider image (from Google, Twitter or Facebook) is available. Image may be zoomed, cropped, rotated or set to certain scale. Save modified image with save action. Detail, group or profile image will then be updated. Using share action you can share detail, group or profile image with your device messaging apps.

List View List view is opened from map view with List action

List view is a quick way to show all shared groups’ places and users in scrollable and selectable list. If places and users are scattered around the world this view is the fastest way to access them. Users are colored with green circle, if user is online and sharing real-time location. If user’s circle is gray, then user is not sharing location or offline. Touching list row opens Detail View. Pressing row with 3D touch capable phones opens peek view and pops to detail view. There are also quick actions to start navigation or to open detail URL if peek view is slided upward. With Add action new place may be added the same way as from Map View: 1. to your current location or 2. to given coordinates (latitude,longitude) or 3. to given address.

Chat View Chat view is used to chat with other group members. All chat “rooms” are open to all members of your group, but not to anyone else. Chat rooms are opened for every place you or other group members create and to all group users. One chat room is also opened for the group. Remember that if you start to chat with a user then every group member can see that chat. Chats may include images taken by device camera or from your device photos folder. Attach and select image using attach icon left to text field at bottom of the page. Chats are structured so that your messages are at right column and others messages are at left column. If a group member is typing something at the moment in opened chat room, that is marked with three dots on left column. Report action: ● Report action is for reporting objectionable content or abusive user to GROUPED! team.
