Why is Bhagawa Dhwaj Guru for Sangh?
Doctor jee suggested Bhagawa Dhwaj as Guru, as it represents Hindu culture and values, and Dhwaj doesn’t change with time, and a person may change. 2.
Normally Samarpan is for Swayam Sevaks only. However, new attendees are free to do ‘Samarpan’ if they wish to. Otherwise, they are encouraged to present flowers given along with the cover to Guru (Bhagawa Dhwaj) when their turn comes. It is appropriate to brief the new comers about this in advance so that it doesn’t come as a surprise to them later when the Samarpan is being practiced at the venue. 3.

Can the new attendees to Guru Pooja Utsav participate in ‘Samarpan’?
When we are inviting people for Guru Pooja, if someone is offering ‘Samarpan’, but can’t attend Guru Pooja, should we accept it?
No. ‘Samarpan’ is NOT the same as donation. Sangh doesn’t accept donations from those who don’t consider themselves as Swayam Sevak. ‘Samarpan’ can be done to Guru (Bhagawa Dhwaj) on the day of Guru Pooja, in the presence.

What the Guru Pooja Utsav is why Sangh celebrates What other Utsavs Sangh celebrates, and why only few Utsavs are celebrated by Sangh, and why for remaining Utsavs Swayam Sevaks are encouraged to celebrate with Society they are living in That Samarpan happens on this today, and it is not mandatory for them to participate in it financially etc What is the significance of ‘sankhya’ in Guru Pooja Utsav?
‘Sankya’ on Guru Pooja Utsav is considered as Sangh strength for that year. Hence, it is very important for we Swayam Sevaks to attend Guru Pooja Utsav without fail. 6.
Can Mata/Behan (women) attend Guru Pooja Utsav?
Normally, Mata/Behan interested in the cause of ‘Hindu Sanghatan’ should attend Rashtriya Sevika Samiti (RSS) organized Guru Pooja Utsav. We should encourage them to do so, as that is more appropriate venue for Mata/Behan. However, if some Mata/Behan arrived to the venue of Guru Pooja, we welcome them.
Pl note that, ‘Samarpan’ is not accepted from Mata/Behan, because of ‘regulatory reasons’. If they want to do ‘Samarpan’ for Guru on the occasion of Guru Pooja Utsav, then Rashtriya Sevika Samiti (RSS) is the appropriate destination for them to do Samarpan. Pl direct them to Khanda Karyavah or any senior Swayam Sevak for direction and guidance.
