HACKMANCHESTER IS AN ANNUAL 24 HOUR CODING COMPETITION FOR OVER 18'S. Teams of up to 4 talented developers, designers and those with great ideas turn up, pick a challenge and have just 24 hours to produce something out of nothing to wow our judges. We hold it every October when the clocks go back, so you get an extra hour to code, or catch some much needed shut-eye! Up to 250 attendees from the UK and beyond team up to represent their companies, universities or just come to hang out as a group of friends and compete for prizes whilst having fun. The event will attract the greatest and brightest creative minds in the North and further afield. This is a great opportunity for you to reach and meet the most passionate and talented developers. The chance to offer up your API, product or data to be used and tested by a large number of passionate, bright, enthusiastic and influential developers for an entire weekend. Developers can choose to use your product in their creations, a lot of whom will then be able to recommend this to their friends and colleagues as solutions to their problems.

HACKMANCHESTER JUNIOR IS AN EVENT FOR 8-18’S TO DEVELOP CODING SKILLS WHILE HAVING FUN. Every October half term we descend upon the Museum of Science and Industry and transform it into a wondrous tech playground for 150 youngsters. In just two days teams of up to 4 take on challenges set by companies and organisations. We provide the space, technology and mentors to help channel their creative energy into a reality. Our talented and friendly mentors, judges and sponsors come from local companies showing the engineers of the future a glimpse of where their future career might take them. With tantalising prizes up for grabs, a museum full of fun, food and drinks why not bring the whole family.

YOUTH HACKS - A PLAYGROUND FOR 13-18’S TO DEVELOP CODING SKILLS DURING HALF TERM. An event for young people to learn or develop coding skills whilst making friends. Digital companies set a challenge and offer a prize as a reward for the team that will bring the best idea to life. These events are not just for coding so it’s not as simple as creating the best code; it’s about working well as a team, being willing to learn and daring to fail. This is a fun event where the aim is to work together, learn and produce something cool. The event is open to everyone and youngsters don’t need any previous experience to attend, we have friendly mentors on hand to help you out. Only thing we ask them to bring is a laptop, your enthusiasm and passion, of course be ready to work with other people. Similar to the junior hack youngsters could be spotted for their coding talents!

OVER 18’S ANNUAL 24 HOUR CODING COMPETITION IN LEEDS. Leeds Hack is here to challenge developers, designers and creatives to hack something great together in 24hours. Teams of up to 4 take part in challenges set by Leeds Hack and their sponsors in order to win prizes. After the hack is complete each team presents their hack and awards are handed out during an awards ceremony. Leeds Hack is a showcase of the talent, creativity and determination in the Leeds tech sector. This is the ideal platform for sponsors looking to recruit, improve developer relations or publicise their services.

OVER 18’S ANNUAL JAM TO CREATE GAMES FROM SCRATCH OVER 40 HOURS JAMCHESTER is an annual, weekend-long video game & VR creation competition. Teams of professional developers (and a sprinkling of up-andcoming student talent) compete onsite to create the best games in a weekend. Our first year sold out 100% of tickets to 140 jammers and we will be increasing this capacity for 2017. Including guests the 2016 event attracted over 200 people. The event is run by HAC100 and Gameopolis (Greater Manchester’s professional video game developers association).
