Job purpose The Health Educator would provide Health Education on STD/HIV/AIDS and related topics to the SW group of the community using different tools and strategies in Twantay, Seikkyi and Dala townships. Job description 1) Overall task for Health Education Program Ö Assist the HIV Health Education Officer and supervisor in designing, supervising and implementing community based Health Education activities on HIV/AIDS Ö Participate in the training programs and in other organization activities Ö Assist the HIV HE officer and supervisors by participating in the development of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials Ö Identification and sensitization of SW groups for behavioural change promotion Ö Regular self update on topics related to work and sharing with team members. Ö Participate in need assessment studies carried out in the field of Health Education Ö Conduct condoms demonstration in target group. Ö Participate in the organization and realization of HE public mass campaigns in targeted area. Ö Conduct Health Education (HE) sessions in the community for client of SW. Ö Conduct Health Education for the STD/HIV patients and to the affected families Ö Facilitate for SW to access health care seeking in Health Post Centre. Ö Implement for finding SW new contact in night session. 2) Monitoring and reporting Ö Maintain proper recording of all activities and establish daily, weekly and monthly report Ö Actively participate in data collection, monitoring & evaluation of the project Ö Strongly focus for analysis in data recording as well as head account, new contact and individual. 3) Training and Self Help Group (SHG) Ö Participated in preparing and implementing for peers and peer educators training & SHG activities 4) Others Ö Respect the principles of confidentiality and privacy Ö Keep good relationship with other AMI-staff and implementing partners Ö Participate in meetings and coordination Ö Respect the dignity of the peers and colleagues. Ö Possible to work in Drop in Centre (DIC) if needed. Requirements: Any diploma or graduate Strong experience in health education and good communication skills Good knowledge of Health Education activities in HIV/AIDS/STI Good command in Myanmar and English Ability to work in the remote areas Application from all origins, religion, gender and age are encouraged to apply.
