Who Made the World? Lesson Learned: God made the world. Materials Needed: empty grocery sack Bible Verse: Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 45:18, Jeremiah 10:12 Talking Points: There is only one God and He is so amazing. He made the whole earth, the wind, the skies, the flowers, the trees, and all the animals. He made the sun, the moon, the starts, darkness, and light. He made all the colors, smells, and tastes. He even made you and me. God is so powerful and so wise that He can do or create anything! Questions: Who made the world? Do you think it would be hard to make the world? Why or why not? Activity: Grab an empty grocery sack and go on a nature walk with your child around the neighborhood. As you walk around, encourage the child to pick up things they see that God made, like rocks, sticks, flowers, or leaves. Remind them as they pick up the items and put them in the bag that God made all of them and only a might, powerful, and wise God could do such an amazing thing. Prayer: Almighty God and Father, You created everything we see. You made the world and you are so wise. We are in awe of all that You created. Amen!

God Made the Earth in 6 Days Lesson Learned: God made the earth in just 6 days. Materials Needed: old calendar, crayons Bible Verse: Genesis 1 Talking Points: God made the world and everything in it. He made the moon and the stars and the oceans and the mountains. He made all the animals and all the trees and everything that we can see. He made you, too. He did all this in 6 days. Questions: Can you name some of the things God made? Did God make your mom and dad? Did He make you? What are some animals He made? How long did it take God to make everything? Activity: Take an old calendar and let the child color in the blank squares. You could spend some time discussing what the different days of the week are and activities you have on that day. For example, on Monday, you and the child go to story time at the library or on Thursdays you go to Bible Study. Prayer: Dear Lord, You make each day perfect. You are so great and powerful that You made the whole world in just 6 days. We pray we never forget how amazing You are and the amazing things You have done. Amen!

God Made Light and Dark Lesson Learned: God made light and dark. Materials: flashlight Bible Verse: Genesis 1:3-5 Talking Points: Before God made the world, nothing existed, not even light or dark. God said, “Let there be light.” And then there was light. God said “Let there be dark.” And then there was darkness. When God speaks, big things happen! Question: Can you see the dark? Can you see in the light? Who made light? How did He make it? Activity: Stand in a dark closet and turn off the light. Have the child say, “Let there be light” and turn on the light. Take turns turning the flashlight on and off. Prayer: Almighty Lord, You made light and dark just by saying “let it be.” We are amazed and awed at You. Thank You for helping us see by giving us light. Amen!

God Made the Sky and the Ground Lesson Learned: God made the sky and the ground. Materials: blue construction paper, cotton balls, glue Bible Verse: Genesis 1:6-9 Talking Points: God made the sky and the ground. When we look up into the sky, we can see clouds that give us rain and when we look down at the ground we can see grass to play on or dirt to grow food in. God made it all! Question: What color is the sky? What color is the grass? What color is dirt? Who made the sky and the grass? Activity: Let the child glue cottons balls (clouds) on to the blue construction paper (the sky). Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for making the sky to send us rain and the ground to grow food in and walk on. We love You and all that You made. Amen!

God Made All the Trees and Plants Lesson Learned: God made all the trees and plants. Materials Needed: construction paper, glue, scissors Bible Verse: Genesis 1:11-13 Talking Points: God made every plant and tree that we can see. He made plants green and flowers all sorts of colors. He decided where the trees would grow and what kind of fruit would come from trees. Questions: Do you like flowers? What is your favorite color flower? Did you know that apples and oranges and bananas grow on trees? What is your favorite fruit to eat? Who made all the flowers and trees? Activity: Have the child make a tree out of the construction paper and cut out pieces of fruit to glue on it. Song to Sing: I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas Now change the vowel sound to A: I like to ate, ate, ate ay-ples and ba-nay-nays I like to ate, ate, ate ay-ples and ba-nay-nays Now change the vowel sound to E: I like to eat, eat, eat ee-ples and bee-nee-nees I like to eat, eat, eat ee-ples and bee-nee-nees Now change the vowel sound to I: I like to ite, ite, ite i-ples and bi-ni-nis I like to ite, ite, ite i-ples and bi-ni-nis Now change the vowel sound to O: I like to ote, ote, ote oh-ples and bo-no-nos I like to ote, ote, ote oh-ples and bo-no-nos Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for making all the plants and trees. They make the world so pretty and we love eating the fruit You made to eat. Thank You for all You’ve created! Amen

God Made the Sun and the Moon Lesson Learned: God made the sun and the moon. Materials: black construction paper, chalk Bible Verse: Genesis 1:14-19 Talking Points: God made the sun and put it in the sky. He also made nighttime and the moon. Then He put every star in the sky. Question: Who made the sun and moon? When can you see the sun? When does the moon come out? What kinds of things do you do during the day? What kind of things do you do during the night? Activity: Draw a sun and moon on the black construction paper with chalk as you tell them about how God created them. Let the child draw too. Prayer: Dear God, You are an awesome creator. Thank You for the sun and moon and stars that light up the day and night. Amen!

God Made All the Animals Lesson Learned: God made all the animals. Materials Needed: paper, water colors or crayons, rubber band Bible Verse: Genesis 1:20-25 Talking Points: God made all the animals in the world. He made all the animals in the sea including fish and whales and seals. He made all the animals that fly including birds and insects and butterflies. He also made all the animals in the land, including dogs and giraffes and lions and bears. Questions: What is your favorite animal? What kinds of animals live in the in water? What kinds of animals live on land? Can you think of any animals that know how to fly? Activity: Fluttering Butterfly Step 1: Using watercolors (or crayons) have the child decorate a piece of paper. Step 2: Fold the paper like an accordion. Step 3: Place a rubber band in the middle of the accordion-like paper. Step 4: Pull the edges slightly to make the folds look like a butterfly. Prayer: Heavenly Father and Creator, You made all the animals and birds in the world. Thank You for all Your wonderful animals. Amen!

God Made Me Lesson Learned: God made all people, including you and me. Materials Needed: pipe cleaner Bible Verse: Genesis 1:26-27 Talking Points: God made everything, the sun, the moon, the stars, and even all the plants and animals. He even made you! He made your toes and your nose. He made your eyes and your hands. He made everything about you! Questions: Did God make the trees? Did He make the mountains? Did He make you? Did He make your mom and dad? Who else did God make? Activity: Use pipe cleaner to make a person. Talk about how God made us each with a head, arms, legs, etc. as you make the person. Older children maybe be able to make their own, too. Song to Sing: God Made Me God made me. God made me. In my Bible book, it says that God made me. God loves me, God loves me. In my Bible book, it says that God loves me. God helps me. God helps me. In my Bible book it says that, God helps me. Prayer: Dear Lord and Creator, thank You for forming us in Your image and giving us life. We thank You for making all of us, including our moms and dads and friends and grandparents and siblings. He’s Got the Whole Word In His Hands Lesson Learned: God made the world. Materials Needed: paper plate, crayons Bible Verse: John 1:3 Talking Points: God made the land we walk on and the water we swim in. He made the mountains, and He made the oceans. Talk to the child about landmarks around your house that they know about, such as a favorite lake you walk around or a hike you take in the hills; God made all these things. Questions: Have you ever seen mountains before? Have you ever seen the ocean? What did they look like? Did God make them? Activity: Let the child decorate the paper world with green and blue crayons like a world. Song to Sing: He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands He's got the whole world in His hands, He's got the whole world in His hands, He's got the whole world in His hands, He's got the whole world in His hands.
