PERSONAL​ ​PLEDGE Article​ ​1​.

I​ ​pledge​ ​to​ ​become​ ​a​ ​stakeholder​ ​for​ ​the​ ​Hmong​ ​community​ ​because​ ​I​ ​want​ ​all​ ​Hmong​ ​people around​ ​the​ ​world​ ​to​ ​grow​ ​in​ ​strength,​ ​progress,​ ​and​ ​prosperity.

Article​ ​2​.

I​ ​believe​ ​that​ ​all​ ​Hmong​ ​persons​ ​share​ ​a​ ​physical​ ​feature​ ​and​ ​social​ ​norms​ ​as​ ​well​ ​as​ ​a​ ​common cultural​ ​heritage.​ ​Like​ ​any​ ​other​ ​group​ ​of​ ​people,​​ ​Hmong​ ​were​ ​born​ ​naturally​​ ​with​ ​freedom​ ​and liberty​ ​to​ ​share​ ​the​ ​universal​ ​opportunities​ ​and​ ​to​ ​engage​ ​in​ ​making​ ​our​ ​life​ ​fundamentally​ ​better with​ ​peace,​ ​justice,​ ​and​ ​respect.

Article​ ​3​.

Wherever​ ​we​ ​might​ ​be,​ ​Hmong​ ​must​ ​be​ ​able​ ​to​ ​live​ ​in​ ​peace​ ​and​ ​harmony​ ​among​ ​other​ ​societies worth​ ​with​​ ​dignity,​ ​integrity,​ ​and​ ​equality.​ ​Wherever​ ​we​ ​might​ ​be,​ ​Hmong​ ​must​ ​respect​ ​the​ ​laws and​ ​national​ ​sovereignties​ ​of​ ​the​ ​countries​ ​where​ ​Hmong​ ​reside​.

Article​ ​4​.

I​ ​know​ ​that​ ​for​ ​Hmong​ ​to​ ​live​ ​a​ ​better​ ​life​ ​with​ ​peace,​ ​security,​ ​prosperity,​ ​and​ ​respect,​​ ​we​ ​must be​ ​strong;​ ​must​ ​seize​ ​and​ ​realize​ ​all​ ​possible​ ​cultural,​ ​socio-economic,​ ​educational,​ ​and​ ​political opportunities​ ​good​ ​for​ ​us,​ ​our​ ​future,​ ​our​ ​survival,​ ​and​ ​our​ ​continuing​ ​advancement;​​ ​and​ ​must guard​ ​against​ ​obstacles​ ​and​ ​injustice​ ​in​ ​order​ ​to​ ​develop,​ ​promote,​ ​and​ ​uphold​ ​our​ ​progress toward​ ​growth​ ​and​ ​prosperity.

I​ ​understand​ ​that​ ​Hmong​ ​must​ ​learn,​ ​work​ ​hard,​ ​be​ ​engaged,​ ​and​ ​stay​ ​competitive​ ​with​ ​other people​ ​for​ ​a​ ​better​ ​life.​ ​Hmong​ ​must​ ​help​ ​and​ ​support​ ​one​ ​another​ ​to​ ​overcome​ ​poverty, oppression,​ ​and​ ​discrimination​ ​in​ ​order​ ​to​ ​stay​ ​above​​ ​these​ ​barriers​ ​to​ ​ensure​ ​our​ ​rights,​ ​liberty, freedom,​ ​and​ ​common​ ​interests.

Article​ ​6.

As​ ​a​ ​stakeholder,​ ​I​ ​will​ ​contribute​ ​my​ ​knowledge,​ ​energy,​ ​resource,​ ​time,​ ​and​ ​wisdom​ ​to​ ​support and​ ​promote​ ​peace,​ ​stability,​ ​and​ ​unity​ ​for​ ​Hmong​ ​people​ ​worldwide.

Article​ ​7.

I​ ​will​ ​uphold​ ​our​ ​history,​ ​cherish​ ​our​ ​cultural​ ​entities,​ ​share​ ​our​ ​collective​ ​interests​​ ​and​ ​wisdom, work​ ​to​ ​improve​ ​our​ ​standards​ ​of​ ​living,​ ​and​ ​aspire​ ​to​ ​advance​ ​our​ ​collective​ ​interests​ ​for​​ ​future generations.

Article​ ​8​.

​ ​I​ ​will​ ​commit​ ​myself​ ​and​ ​accept​ ​the​ ​responsibility​ ​to​ ​work​ ​to​ ​the​ ​best​ ​of​ ​my​ ​knowledge​ ​and​ ​ability with​ ​other​ ​Hmong​ ​individuals​ ​to​ ​improve​ ​and​ ​promote​ ​our​ ​life,​ ​social,​ ​economic​ ​,​ ​and​ ​political standing​ ​among​ ​other​ ​people​ ​in​ ​local,​ ​regional,​ ​and​ ​international​ ​environments.​ ​With​ ​my obligations,​ ​I​ ​will​ ​be​ ​open-minded,​ ​accountable,​ ​and​ ​fair​ ​in​ ​my​ ​work​ ​and​ ​conduct​ ​and​ ​will​ ​avoid activities​ ​and​ ​actions​ ​that​ ​will​ ​create​ ​conflict,​ ​distrust,​ ​and​ ​destruction​ ​to​ ​our​ ​collective​ ​wisdom and​ ​interests.

Above​ ​all,​ ​I​ ​wholeheartedly​ ​volunteer​ ​to​ ​be​ ​a​ ​stakeholder​ ​for​ ​the​ ​Hmong​ ​people​ ​because​ ​of​ ​my profound​ ​desire,​ ​aspiration,​ ​and​ ​hope​ ​that​ ​all​​ ​Hmong​​ ​around​ ​the​ ​globe​ ​shall​ ​be​ ​one​ ​people​ ​with a​ ​shared​ ​history,​ ​cultural​ ​identity,​ ​language,​ ​and​ ​system​ ​of​ ​governance.​ ​The​ ​work​ ​to​ ​reconstitute Hmong​ ​and​ ​proclaim​ ​our​ ​best​ ​interests​ ​is​ ​this​​ ​PLEDGE​ ​OF​ ​ALLEGIANCE​ ​for​ ​which​ ​I​ ​proudly undertake​ ​to​ ​fulfill​ ​the​ ​collective​ ​will,​ ​idealism,​ ​and​ ​ethos​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Hmong​ ​people​ ​through​ ​the​ ​test​ ​of time.
