Gather Information/Data for current year 2014-2015 Perkins Program Effectiveness Report (PER)



Join TEA List Serve and select CTE Directors



Meet with PEIMS Coordinator for changes/updates



Submit to local newspaper the announcement of Nondiscrimination statement for publication prior to beginning of school year.



Develop plan of how you will interact/receive feedback from staff

Review any Legislative activity/changes



Download new version Student Attendance Accounting Handbook- CTE Section 5

Review initial PEIMS Data Standards Code Table C022 for new courses listed-check for accuracy

Check CTE teacher certification and CTE teaching assignment Review Master Schedule to ensure all CTE courses are properly coded, labeled, etc. (45 min+/class = CTE weighted funding)

Conduct New CTE Staff Orientation



Conduct CTE Staff Development for all CTE teachers



Set-up Advisory Committee for CTE programs



Meet with Counselors -



Programs of Study, impact of schedule changes for CTE students, 4 yr. plans, etc. Bring chocolate!

Problems and Solutions written plans need to be on file within 15 school days of the student’s enrollment date. $ CTE funding $

Meet with Career Prep/Practicum teachers - Requirements *Remind them of 15 day requirement for training plans.

Reminder:  Career Prep is a Paid only experience!  Practicum can either be Paid or Unpaid experience!

Review ARD meeting schedule ▪ Are appropriate CTE teachers attending? ▪ Do all appropriate CTE teachers have copies of IEP’s for student as needed?

 Meet with Business Office - Budget planning/process? 

Meet with counselor - review of class counts, monitor and adjust schedules as needed.

Host CTE Open House/Meet Your Teacher Night



Follow through with existing or new CTSO’s *FFA , FCCLA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, DECA …



Collect a copy of Career Prep & Practicum Training Plans



Coordinate the identification of CTE students as 1, 2 or 3 for PEIMS 101 Record - Fall Snapshot*(PEIMS CTE Indicator Code)(CTE Fall Decision Chart)
