If they forget, you will need to reset it again, which will slow things down considerably. Tip: when students are prompted to reset their passwords on the first day, it might be more efficient to have them all enter the same thing. For example, they could all use teacher last name, or school name, etc.  *Refer to page 9 to reset a students password

District Benchmark Administration Walkthrough Constructed Response Tips

Constructed Response (CR) items must be reviewed and scored by the teacher. Caution: Not all CR items that appear when selecting the Constructed Responses tab are CR. Any item that requires students to type their answers in a box like MER (math equation response) or ECR (explicit constructed response) will show up here as well. ECR and MER items are graded by Illuminate. They appear with the CR items in order to allow you to override a bad score from Illuminate. Example: suppose two acceptable answers to an MER item are: 12/5 or 2 2/5. If a student responds with “12/5 cups,” this will be marked incorrect because Illuminate is not expecting units as part of the answer. A CR item requires students to type in a sentence or paragraph and so can easily be distinguished from other item types. CR items will have a rubric that typically ranges from 0-1 to 0-3 depending, which is why Illuminate can’t score them. If you’re having trouble distinguishing the CR items, please contact Assessment & Accountability. Currently, Illuminate scores missing CR items as incorrect, so students will not see their full score until you review and score these items.
