How​ ​can​ ​I​ ​connect​ ​my​ ​Amazon​ ​Echo​ ​Dot​ ​to  my​ ​HEOS​ ​speaker​ ​via​ ​Bluetooth? 

  To​ ​connect​ ​the​ ​ ​best​ ​speaker​ ​for​ ​echo​ ​dot​​ ​ ​to​ ​HEOS​ ​speaker​ ​via​ ​Bluetooth:    Step​ ​1.​ ​Enable​ ​Bluetooth​ ​pairing​ ​mode​ ​on​ ​your​ ​HEOS​ ​speaker    ● We​ ​have​ ​2​ ​series​ ​of​ ​HEOS​ ​speakers,​ ​HS1​ ​and​ ​HS2.​ ​HEOS​ ​HS1​ ​speakers​ ​require​ ​a​ ​USB​ ​Bluetooth  adapter​ ​(Sold​ ​Separately)​ ​for​ ​Bluetooth​ ​connection.​ ​HEOS​ ​HS2​ ​speakers​ ​have​ ​built-in​ ​Bluetooth  functionality.  ● The​ ​procedure​ ​for​ ​Bluetooth​ ​pairing​ ​is​ ​slightly​ ​different​ ​between​ ​HEOS​ ​HS1​ ​and​ ​HS2​ ​speakers.  Since​ ​both​ ​speakers​ ​are​ ​very​ ​similar​ ​in​ ​appearance​ ​you​ ​will​ ​have​ ​to​ ​first​ ​determine​ ​the​ ​HEOS  device​ ​version.  ● The​ ​HEOS​ ​HS1​ ​speakers​ ​will​ ​have​ ​a​ ​“Reset”​ ​button​ ​on​ ​the​ ​back​ ​panel,​ ​and​ ​the​ ​HEOS​ ​HS2  speakers​ ​have​ ​a​ ​“Bluetooth”​ ​button​ ​instead.   

    Step​ ​2.​ ​Bluetooth​ ​Setup    HEOS​ ​HS1​ ​Series: 

Use​ ​the​ ​USB​ ​Bluetooth​ ​adapter​ ​included​ ​in​ ​the​ ​HEOS1​ ​Go​ ​Pack​ ​or​ ​buy​ ​USB​ ​Bluetooth​ ​V4.0​ ​adapter​ ​using  BCM20702​ ​chipset​ ​from​ ​Broadcom.    Note:​ ​We​ ​do​ ​not​ ​guarantee​ ​HEOS​ ​Bluetooth​ ​functionality​ ​with​ ​every​ ​Bluetooth​ ​adapter​ ​incorporating  this​ ​chip.   

    Procedure:  HEOS​ ​HS1​ ​Series​ ​-​ ​Plug​ ​the​ ​USB​ ​Bluetooth​ ​adapter​ ​into​ ​the​ ​USB​ ​port​ ​on​ ​the​ ​back​ ​of​ ​your​ ​HEOS​ ​speaker.  HEOS​ ​HS2​ ​Series​ ​–​ ​Skip​ ​stepping​ ​3   

 

Step​ ​3:​ ​Starting​ ​Bluetooth​ ​pairing​ ​mode​ ​on​ ​the​ ​HEOS​ ​Speaker  HEOS​ ​HS1​ ​Speaker​ ​-​ ​Press​ ​and​ ​hold​ ​the​ ​"Connect"​ ​button​ ​on​ ​the​ ​back​ ​of​ ​the​ ​HEOS​ ​device​ ​for  approximately​ ​5​ ​seconds​ ​until​ ​the​ ​front​ ​LED​ ​flashes​ ​"GREEN"​ ​rapidly.​ ​This​ ​sets​ ​the​ ​HEOS​ ​speaker​ ​to  pairing/discovery​ ​mode​ ​so​ ​that​ ​your​ ​Amazon​ ​Echo​ ​Dot​ ​can​ ​find​ ​it.   

    HEOS​ ​HS2​ ​Speaker​ ​-​ ​Press​ ​and​ ​hold​ ​the​ ​"Bluetooth"​ ​button​ ​on​ ​the​ ​back​ ​of​ ​the​ ​HEOS​ ​device​ ​for​ ​3​ ​seconds  and​ ​release​ ​when​ ​the​ ​HEOS​ ​status​ ​LED​ ​starts​ ​a​ ​two​ ​"GREEN"​ ​flashing​ ​pattern.​ ​This​ ​sets​ ​the​ ​HEOS  speaker​ ​to​ ​pairing/discovery​ ​mode​ ​so​ ​that​ ​your​ ​Amazon​ ​Echo​ ​Dot​ ​can​ ​find​ ​it.
