Set Up Your Search Agent for Automatic Email Notification
Don’t miss out on great job, fellowship or internship opportunities. The ability to be emailed positions that match your specific search criteria helps you save time and identify opportunities of interest to you. Step 1: To set up your Job or Internship Search Agent, you can either: Click on Jobs > “SPH Career Connection Jobs”, or Select “SPH Job Postings” link on the right-hand side of your Home page
Step 2: Select “Advanced Search” to create your specific search criteria
Step 3: Select your preferences based on position type, job function, industry and location. The Search Agent you create will be based on this criteria.
STEP 4: Save your search by selecting “Saved Searches”, on the right side of the page.
STEP 5: Title your search and select how often you would like to receive emails -- daily, every other day, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. Once all the settings are in place, hit the “Save” button.

Tips: 1. Keep in mind that multiple search agents can be created and saved. Examples might include: One for desired geographic location and/or one for desired field of study. If you set up multiple search agents, be sure to click “clear” at the bottom of the search feature before creating and naming each new search. 2. Leave the section blank if you do not have any strong feelings toward the criteria. This will give you the most vigorous results. “No Selection” should not be chosen under any circumstances. 3. Create a specific search agent for employers that you have interest in. Directions: In the Keyword box, type the name of the employer in quotation marks. This will allow you to receive a notification for any position posted by that employer. Remember to verify the employer name first in SPH Career Connection’s Employer Directory so that you are using the exact name that is in the system.
