HOW WE’RE GONNA DO THIS ! THE PALOMAR EAST EMERGENCY TEAM COMMUNICATIONS LINK 1. The Command Center Coordinators will assemble and set up the Command Center a. Determine where the Command Center will be located. b. Set up and arrange the tables, chairs, pads/paper, pens/pencils, other material. c. Direct the Command Center Personnel to their assigned locations and rearrange the set-up as necessary. d.1. If necessary, obtain one of the “bull-horns” and using a cart, circle the Park and make sure all residents are aware of the emergency. 2.. Assure the Command Center Communications have set-up and checked out the Walki-Talki radios for operation. e. Using an electric cart, deliver the Walki-Talki radios to the Field Coordinators. f. Stand by to assist where required and possibly fill in any operation that is lacking in coverage or short of personnel for efficient operation. 2. The Command Center Coordinators will assemble at the Command Center and: a. Obtain the Walki-Talki Radios from the Command Center Coordinators. b, Set-up and test each radio and prepare them for use.. c. Give one radio for each Field Coordinator to the Command Center Coordinator for delivery. 3. The Field Coordinator will report to their assigned area and: a. Start a survey of the availability of the Block Captains and note any areas not covered.. b. Upon receipt of the Walki-Talki radio, IMMEDIATELY turn on the radio and go to channel “6”..and call the Command Center Communications Coordinator. c. Identify who you are and what area you are covering. d. Report any problems, shortages of personnel, or other pertinent information. e. Immediately report any request for assistance, f. Keep the Walki-Talki radio turned on and on Channel “6”. ( unless otherwise directed to change channels by the Command Center Communications Coordinator) g. Maintain the communications link with the Command Center..
