What Is HPOP? HPOP offers an opportunity for motivated, eligible, low income adults to train for and find jobs in healthcare occupations in New Hampshire. Through 2015, HPOP will train a minimum of 1000 adults, strengthening New Hampshire’s healthcare workforce.

HPOP works in partnership with existing schools and training institutions to offer educational opportunities in a variety of health fields:  Allied Health  Long-term Care  Child Care Health Advocacy   Health Information Technology  Nursing 

HPOP offers:

 Case management services in Concord, Manchester, Nashua and the Seacoast Region to help match individual interests and abilities with health occupations that are anticipated to have job openings.  Financial support for educational expenses & tuition.  Supportive services assistance for expenses like childcare, transportation, books & uniforms.  Job development services to assist with resume development, interview skills, and making connections with employers.

The Health Profession Opportunity Project (HPOP) is part of a national demonstration project funded by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The goal of this project is to provide training and support to help people improve their skills and find better jobs. In order to learn what works, the Federal government is conducting a study requiring every eligible person who is accepted and enrolls in New Hampshire’s HPOP to go through a lottery system. Participants will be selected by lottery to participate in the HPOP Case Management & Training services. Those participants not selected to receive the HPOP Case Management & Training services will still be a part of the HPOP Study and will be able to enroll in any other services or programs for which they are eligible.
