The summer school gives 20 young scientists the opportunity to work together in especially designed research projects to learn about integrative biodiversity study and research development. By mingling promising young researchers with experienced and inspiring researchers the summer school offers an outstanding opportunity to work together in a relaxed and constructive atmosphere.

The lead teacher of the summer school is Stan Harpole, iDiv Professor and head of the research group in Physiological Diversity. Other lecturers will include senior scientific staff at iDiv. The summer school is aimed mainly at PhD students working on biodiversity topics, but also applications from advanced master’s level students will be considered. A limited number of travel grants will be offered, based on quality and ressources of the applicant. The application deadline for the course is Sunday, 3 April 2016.
