Action: County Departments of Human/Social Services can apply for 15 scholarships that are available for child welfare staff to attend the 2017 Sex Offender Management Board Conference. Those interested need to complete the application by June 1, 2017. Background: DCW is pleased to announce the availability of travel and training scholarships for County Department of Human/Social Services professionals to attend in state training, to improve the assessment, administration and judicial handling of cases involving concerns of sex abuse of those working with adults and/or juveniles who have committed sexual offense acts. Who: County Department of Human/Social Services professionals who work with adults and/or juveniles that have committed sexual offense acts. When: Conference Opportunities from July 12th-14th, 2017, in Beaver Run Resort, Colorado. What: Scholarships for the reimbursement of mileage, lodging, per diem, and/or registrations fees to attend training and/or continued education opportunities in Colorado.
