All sorts of positive things, on all sorts of levels. It brings food to the heart of our community and uses food as the language to create community connectedness. This language opens up opportunities to share skills and knowledge while enhancing our health and wellbeing. It helps encourage local initiatives and 'sticky money' - money that stays in our town for the good of our town. Ask not what your town can do for you, but what you can do for your town.
Why are we doing this? By growing food to share we begin to think more about food, gardening and nutrition, about social interaction, about sharing skills, helping others, and about our community. This movement showcases how simple it is to grow your own, and what a positive impact this has.

You can. That's where the magic begins. By helping each other we form a kinder more generous community. Feel free to water the gardens, pull weeds, plant something, share skills and knowledge, grow your own patch, or become a volunteer. There are endless ways you can get involved. Our saying is 'If you eat, you're in .

People begin to view their public spaces differently, and see the potential that's there. Neighbours chat and share more. Our town becomes more vibrant and productive. Above all else – we begin to believe in ourselves and the power of small actions.
