Information Memorandum

The purpose of this memorandum is to ensure that all counties are informed about the upcoming 2017 SNAP Training Summit. This event will be an informative and exciting opportunity for county staff to learn valuable information that will enhance both daily and longer-term performance. Following the training event, attendees will be able to apply federal policy to daily operations in order to improve both accuracy and services to clients. The SNAP Training Summit will take place on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Denver Airport Convention Center. Training topics will cover an array of program areas, including program access, recipient integrity, EBT, SNAP, and Employment First, the SNAP employment and training program. The Department’s Division of Food & Energy Assistance is excited to partner with the U.S. Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) to provide this training event. Attendees will have the opportunity to sign-up for training in various program areas and participate in roundtable discussions. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Registration and hotel information will be distributed to all counties soon.
