LITTLE BIT DESCRIPTION ABOUT US Group Youth Excited About Health (YEAH) is a group of university students based in Aksaray. The group members have participatedin different youth in action projects in different times. We are interested in healthy life issue. That is why we specialized in health and healthy life for youth. Creating awareness on obesity is our initial purposes in this Project. Our trainers and group leader have extensive experiences on preparing and implementing youth in action projects. 8 YIA projects, 2 LDV Mobility Projects were implemented by them .

SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT The obesity is one of the serious problem of today’s world. To ovecome this problem many researches are done. This desease is seen especially among young and adult people. With our Project “ Eat To Live Not Live To Eat” we are intending to create awareness among young people on healthy diet and doing sports. We will try to take the attention of people to this common problem. The project is going to be implemented in Aksaray city in Turkey. The activities of the Project will be between 08-15 February 2016. The activity is a training course for 7 days. The language of the project will be English. The participants will be trained and informed , also the obesity will be discussed by young participants. With this training we are aiming to create awareness how tos tay fit and healthy, find out how young people are effected and how they can keep out this problem. The participants will exchange their knowledge and experiences with each other about obesity. Non-formal education techniques will be mostly used in this training . The coordinator of the project is Group Youth Excited About Health (YEAH).

PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS 27 youth workers are coming from 6 countries (Turkey, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Estonia and Lithuania). Each organization will send different numbers of participants. Bulgaria: 5, Italy: 5, Romania: 4, Estonia: 4 Lithuania: 5 The participants should be over 18 years old. We ask each partner to select high motivated participants who are interested and motivated to the project. Please note that EVS volunteers cannot be included as participants in this project as they are already receiving funding from the Youth in Action programme and this type of double funding is not allowed under the rules of the programme. Moreover, the participants’ nationalities should be same with their country. For example a participant who has no Bulgarian passport can not come as a representatives of Bulgaria. Turkish NA is very sensetive on this. SO this kind of participants can not be counted as a participant and travel costs and other expenses can not be reimbursed within Project budget. The participants are able to communicate in English. Participant have to participate in all the activities in the programme.

ROLE OF THE PARTNER We ask every partner organization to have an active role in the project, specially paying attention to the realization of the following steps: ○ Selection of the participants in a long-term perspective; ○ Preparation meetings with the selected participants; ○ Taking care of the logistic issues together with the participants (travel, reimbursement, etc) and administrative task (visa request, etc.); ○ Promotional and visibility phases of the project; ○ Dissemination and exploitation of the results (collecting report from the participants after the training course, publishing a report on the website, etc...)

OBJECTIVES of THE PROGRAMME With this training course, we would like to • Sensibilise for and develop a common understanding of the concept and meaning of healthy life. • Exchange experience and good practices regarding programmes, methods, approaches and projects promoting healthy life in youth work. • Create new friendship and partnership for the future with the partner institutions and their participants • Identify interests, needs and support for the implementation of health promotion in youth work and for future European activities. • Find out the effective ways to quit eating unhealthy diet. • Develop the knowledge about Intercultural Learning. • Develop knowledge about non formal education and Youth in Action as tool to acquire new competences and abilities. • Reinforce the European cooperation in international youth work.

PREPARATION TASKS ❶By 01st December 2015: Fill in, sign , stamp and send back Internal Partnership Agreement document by e-mail. ❷By 07th December 2015: Select your participants. Fill in the attached Participant Form (for each participant seperately) and send it to [email protected] together with your travel plan. We want to see your flight connections arrival and departure date and time before you buy your tickets. Sometimes, participants arrive late and leave earlier than offical date. This case is not excepted by National Agency. After we make sure and we give you confirmation, you can buy your tickets. By 20th December: deadline to purchase of travel tickets and provide us with all the needed information for the Visa request. ❸Bring with you information about your NGO, as we will realise an NGO Market, where you will present your organisation to other participants (brochure, video, gadget etc…) ❹ Intercultural Night: bring music, food and whatever you think it will represent in the best way your country to us. ❺ For the activity called “The organizations, activities and good practices run by NGOs based in your country” participants will search and share the results with other participants during the training. Please share this knowledge with your participants. ❻ Each country will lead 2 ice breaking activities within the programme. So, your participants should be ready for that.

❼ We will make a session to prepare new Youth in Action Project. So your participants’ fresh ideas will be needed for future cooperation and collaboration.

FINANCING RULES Accommodation, meals, participation and working material are financed by the Turkish National Agency. The travel costs will be reimbursed to the partner organisation after the participants sent back their travel documents to us. We will transfer the travel budget by bank. The transfer will not me made to each participant. It will sent to partner organisation’s bank account . Partner organisation will be responsible for paying the right amount to each participant. TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT RULES 1.

Travel reimbursement criteria:

You can use maximum amount of your travel budget. Even if you spend less, you can keep the rest of the budget, as long as you provide the electronic tickets and your boarding passes. You should give us both of them to be able to reimburse. 1. 2.

The reimbursment will be realized after you sent your travel document to us. We are waiting your documents before 01 March 2016. So, we are planning to transfer your money 01 March 2016 if you send them before this date. Extra-days: You can come 3 days before the programme starting day. You can also stay 3 extra more days after programe finished. But, extra days (except for programme days) the cost of food and accomodation and transport are not covered by the project budget. The participants have to to be in Aksaray at least on 08 February 2016 and are to stay till the morning of 15 February 2016. Arrival and Departure should be on exactly these date. Not later not before ! Maximum Reimbursable limit: each country has a budget limit reimbursable, please, check it the tables given below. Only original tickets and flight complete with boarding pass will be reimbursed. Please keep all the tickets, including boarding pass as well. Expenses will be calculated in Euro and the reimbursement will be paid in Euro. Reimbursement will be done by bank transfer after receiving the original tickets and boarding passes by post: (We strongly suggest you to scan them before to send to us, just incase they are lost at post.

2. To proof your travel : You need to keep all your boarding passes, bus or train tickets and provide an invoice or electronic ticket from your Travel Agency or web page of your airline copany. They must contain the following data: - The name of the passenger, - Travel Date, - The full details of the flight (departure/destination and travel days).

HOW TO GET TO AKSARAY Participants have several possibilities to arrive to Aksaray. Here below you’ll find some information that might be useful for finding a good flight solution. The project will be realized in the city of Aksaray, in central Turkey. 1. Flight The main and better connected airports to Aksaray in Turkey are Ankara, Konya and Nevşehir. Turkish Airlines can be a good choice to reach these cities from your countries. After you reach the nearest airport, you should take a bus to Aksaray. The location of the Aksaray is good to find a bus every hour from Ankara, Konya or Nevşehir. By bus, Ankara-Aksaray: 3 hours, Konya- Aksaray: 1.5 hour, Nevşehir-Aksaray: 1 hour. Turkish Airlines: http://www.turkishairlines.com/en-tr Pegasus Airlines: www.flypgs.com 2. Bus Aksaray has a good connection with Ankara and İstanbul.
