Important Dates

The “International Congress in Computing and Informatics in Northern Chile”, organized by INFONOR-CHILE, is the most important event of the Macro-Zone in northern Chile.

• Article submission: June 15th, 2018. • Notification of Acceptance: July 15th, 2018.

One of the objectives of this congress is to become an encounter point to present and discuss scientific contributions of the different disciplines of computer science, applied research and of innovation of industrial-technological activities. It considers:

Presentations of articles contributing to science. Presentations of articles regarding ITC industry experiences. • Invited talks from international guests and tutorials. • •

Submission of Articles Researchers are invited to submit articles that report original results of scientific research in Spanish or English. Articles must be written in the INGENIARE magazine format (using the template found at http:// infonor2018.inf.unap.cl/doc/template_infonor_2018.doc) and sent through the easychair platform at the following URL : https://easychair.org/conferences/conference_dir.cgi?a=18028265

This year, the IX version of INFONOR-CHILE will take place at the city of Iquique on September 5, 6 and 7th at University Arturo Prat. The congress is organized by: • University of Tarapacá. • University Arturo Prat. • Catholic University of the North. • University of Atacama.

Iquique is a coastal city located in the Atacama desert in northern Chile, in the Tarapacá region. It is a port city, with beautiful beaches and an important commercial activity mainly due to the free zone (ZOFRI). It has an important hotel infrastructure. Iquique has a privileged climate, with average maximum temperatures in summer of 27º Celsius and in winter minimum of 14º Celsius. Iquique is known as “Tierra de Campeones” (Land of Champions), thanks to the large number of sports titles obtained by its sports clubs and athletes. Topics of Interest

Articles will be examined and evaluated by an international "double blind review" program committee. Accepted papers will be published digitally in the annals of INFONOR-CHILE 2018. Best articles accepted and presented at the congress will be considered for publication in the magazine INGENIARE (indexed Scielo / Scopus). More information at:

Industry Articles Submission We invite companies and professionals to propose works about experiences of ITC applications in the industry. Proposals will be evaluated by a local committee.

Registration In order to present a work in INFONOR-CHILE 2018 and to appear in the congress proceedings, the article must be accepted and at least one of the authors must be registered and present the article in the congress.
