During NFIR's PNM meetingheld with the Railway Board on l0/l 1-04-201.5" the Olficial Side gave a copy of CAO" RWP's letter No. RWP/Rly./Bd./Misc./Wel. dated 0810412015 addressedto [)irector,Mech./Eng,(W)"Railway Board showing progresson variousissuesraisedby the Federation underPNM item No. 19/2013.NFIR is disappointed to state that the ground reality as reported to the Federation is contrary to the position explainedin the letter as can be noted from the foilowing facts:o

Non-implementationof the agreementreachedbetweenthe administrationand staff of RWP/Bela. -['he o administrationhad agreedfbr immediateprovision of three Railway Doctors. Special Medical Treatmentto employeesreieiving injuries and burns. Provisionof Dri'king water & provisionof Meals to the Emploveesin the Statf Canteenat subsidizedrates. 'l'he

reportsreceivedby NF-IR reveal that no action has been taken bv the RWP administralion fbr honouringtheabovecommitments. o

Non-provisionof Branded Uniform and supply of substandard shoesto the employees. o In the teports received by the Federation it has been brought out that substandard and poor quality Uniform & shoeswere providedby the administrationto the stalFwithoutlearninglessonfrom the accidentoccurredin the paston 08'hJanuarv 20t5.

Accidentoccurredon 26thApril2015. o Federation is constrained to note that on 26tn April 2015 yet another unfortunateaccidenttook placein the Rail Wheel Plant,Bela causinginjuriesto five employeesand a supervisor.Out of thosesix persons,three were seriouslyinjured. In the plant this accidenthas occurreddue to self running of the machine and non-working of Exhaust Valve. The repetitionof accidentshascreatedfear in the minds of employeesworking in the plant as sufficient safety measuresare not being ensured by the RWp administration. Federation is enclosing copies of three photographs of injured employeeswho had suffered seriousinjuries by way of attack of hot melted iron at 1600 degree.This is very seriousand calls for detailedexplanationby the authorities in RWP besidesthe stepstakento avoid recurrenceof theseaccidents.

Federationhad requestedthe Railway Board vide its letter dated 1310212015 for interventionand to issue instructionsto CAO/RWP/BeIafor treatingthe fbur days periodas leavedue,unfortunatelythe samehasnot be doneas yet.

NFIR- therefore, requeststhe Railway Board to kindly intervene and see that ' immediateinstructions are issuedto CAO/RWP/BeIato take all possiblestepsfor ensuring safe working environment in the Rail Wheel Plant and at the same time take immediate action for fulfilling the commitmentsgiven to the employeesof the plant. A copy of the communicationsentto RWP Bela may be endorsedto the Federation. DA/As above
