This form should be filled in by candidates willing to apply for incubation of their projects in one of the Accredited Incubators registered under the National Incubator Scheme; The details of the scheme are available in the NSIS guidelines; ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THIS FORM SHALL BE KEPT AS C ONFIDENTIAL; Submitting a duly filled NSIS Application form does NOT automatically guarantee adherence to the NSIS Incubation Program.
About the National SME Incubator Scheme
The National SME Incubator Scheme (NSIS) is a public-private partnership aimed at encouraging creation, growth and acceleration of new and innovative ideas/concepts leading to the creation of Innovative businesses for the socio-economic benefit of the Republic of Mauritius. Under the NSIS, the Mauritius Research Council and accredited private sector incubators work in partnership to foster the growth and development of innovative businesses. The NSIS framework provides the appropriate training and mentoring facilities, co-financing opportunities, office space and other relevant resources to nurture (i) innovative ideas, (ii) early business start-ups and (iii) SMEs willing to expand their activities and explore new markets.

NSIS-Accredited Incubators
Six (6) private sector incubators have been accredited and have agreed to work as per the terms and conditions of the NSIS. These incubators are: 1. Ceridian App Factory, (to be provided ); 2. La Plage Factory, (coworking.mu/incubator); 3. Mauritius Startup Incubator, (mauritius-startup-incubator.com); 4. Turbine, (turbine.mu); 5. Ventures AA (ventures.angloafrican.com/) and 6. Verde Frontier Ltd (correct name and web address to be amended).

Who can Apply?
If you have an innovative idea which you want to exploit into a business or you have a startup looking to either improve your business or accelerate your business activities to explore new markets, you can apply by filling the form below.

General conditions for completing this form

You must read and understand the NSIS guidelines before filling out this application; Incomplete forms will be rejected; Forms submitted after the deadline will not be considered; Applications submitted in formats other than the prescribed form will be rejected.
5.
Disclosure of information

The MRC’s use and disclosure of your information (provided in this application or otherwise) is set out in the NSIS Guidelines.
6.
Deadline for submission:
You have until 31st October 2017 to send your duly completed Expression of Interest form.
7.
Selection and announcement:
Your applications will be screened and the most promising ideas will be invited to participate in a business Angels forum to be held on (24th November or 1st December 2017). During this forum you will get the chance to meet with all the 6 incubators and engage into further discussions with the incubator of your choice to incubate your project.
