Celebrate Catholic Schools Week -
Baby Bottle Fundraiser
January 31 through February 6
Don’t forget to pick up a Baby Bottle available in the back, right alcove of the church. We are asking individuals and families to fill this bottle with a financial donation during the month, and return it on Sunday, February 7th. These funds will help Learn Your Options/ A Woman’s Concern continue their life -saving work helping women and couples facing unplanned pregnancies.
Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service The North Region of the Archdiocese of Boston boasts 28 Catholic schools, from elementary to high school. During the week of January 31, visit one of the schools and see why Catholic education is so successful and important. By choosing Catholic education students have a unique opportunity to develop the whole person through spiritual and academic formation. A Catholic education prepares the student to make a difference in the world.
Rice Bowls Campaign Hungering for the journey! Join our parish community along with 13,000 Other Catholic Communities in the United States! In a life changing Lenten journey with CRS rice bowls and kids. Please pick up your family rice bowl in the back of the church if your child does not bring one home over the next few weeks. Remember your Lenten sacrifice changes lives.
The students that attend Catholic schools in the Archdiocese outperform their national peers -elementary school students score well above the national average on national assessments, the average SAT score for secondary school students is significantly above the national average, and the secondary school graduates matriculate to college at a greater rate than their state and national public school peers.
The Reading Knights of Columbus will be holding a membership drive for new members the weekend of January 30, 31. Members of the Council will be at the back of the church after each mass that weekend to answer questions , hand out literature and applications.
Support our schools! Encourage enrollment in our Catholic schools! Visit www.catholicschoolsboston.org for more information on the Catholic schools in the Archdiocese.
