Their Effects Facilitator:
Jim Davis Jim Davis has been the Chief Deputy of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office for 17 years and has received a federal award for his efforts in drug enforcement. In 2001, he was awarded the Gold Seal award for working with domestic violence victims. Jim has been the program director for the Fayette County Sheriff's Office Domestic and Sexual Abuse Response Team (DASART). He studied criminal justice in the state of Wyoming and has worked in the law enforcement field in Michigan, Wyoming, and Iowa for over 30 years. He has been on the State Grant review board for two years and is currently the training coordinator for Helping Services in Decorah to train local law enforcement agencies in domestic abuse investigations.
This training will feature information about current drug trends, things to be aware of (signs of use/manufacturing in the home, etc.), recognizing drug use, street names, the effects on people, & how to deal with a person who may be intoxicated on drugs.
