PURPOSE OF DIVISION: Under the overall umbrella of Child and Woman Development Programme, One to One Orphans Sponsorship Programme is being implemented to improve the lives of orphan children and their families. JOB PURPOSE: Working with Child Care Coordinator in improving the quality of life of orphans (250-300) and other vulnerable children.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS (Bullet Points)  

Maintain a strong working relationship and offer effective programme implementation services, advice/guide line managers and team members with regards to orphans’ sponsorship. Build and maintain effective coordination with all the allocated sponsored families as well as guardian group leaders. Liaise with external stake holders (Govt, Community, other organisations and local influential) for effective implementation of the programme. Liaise with support functions to ensure smooth implementation of programme activities.

SCOPE AND AUTHORITY Scope of the Role: Reporting to the Child Care Cluster In Charge and responsible for a minimum number of 250 children in designated working areas while providing quality services to sponsored children and their families through effective performance management.

Responsibility for Resources (Bullet Points):  Regular reporting to Child Care Cluster In Charge on the progress of programme implementation 

in designated working areas. Access to and maintenance of confidential information (sponsored families’ records, photos and financial data etc.)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Bullets Points) The following are the main responsibilities that the role holder will be accountable for:  Assist in developing and running IR’s Orphans Sponsorship Programme, its implementation strategy and protocol in compliance with IR and donor policies.  Smooth running of the orphans programme by maintaining close coordination with the sponsored families.  At least two field visits to all allocated sponsored families per year & timely submission of quality reports to donors.  Facilitating disbursements, visits, etc. through community groups.  Managing new assessments, terminations and confirmation of the quarterly disbursements.  Assisting the Child Care team in all programme related matters and providing support to the Child and Woman Development Programme.  Close coordination with the support department for the purchase and delivery of services to orphans.  Designing and arranging recreational activities for children to boost up their confidence.

Masters or Bachelor degree in Social Sciences
