Kathy is best known for her books of essays about wet, wild places – Riverwalking: Reflections on Moving Water, Holdfast: At Home in the Natural World, and The Pine Island Paradox, winner of the Oregon Book Award. Her new book of essays, Wild Comfort, explores the solace to be found in the rhythmic beauty and mystery of the natural world. Moral Ground, her latest book, is a call to honor our obligations to the future. Kathleen Dean Moore is a philosopher who teaches Environmental Ethics at Oregon State University.
