We are glad to announce the dates for the 9th Annual Conference of Association of Phonosurgeons of India - Phonocon 2013 on 8th, 9th and 10th March 2013 at Dr.Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute Of Medical Sciences and Research Foundation,Chinnoutapalli,Gannavaram mandal near to Vijayawada. The Phonocon 2013 is organized by the Department of ENT-HNS,Dr.Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Foundation in association with AOI,Vijayawada and AOI Andhra Pradesh State branches. The Conference venue is Dr.PSIMS RF, a Medical College 25km away from Vijayawada situated in picturesque countryside. The College was managed by Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education a leading and pioneer educational group in this part of the Andhra Pradesh with 18 institutions under its belt. The APSI had its origins in Andhra Pradesh when it started at Guntur with the inspiration from Dr.Phaniendra Kumar as the Founder President with Dr.Jayakumar (Vice President) and Handa KK as the Secretary. The Association is growing slowly but steadily and we had annual conferences at different parts of the Country. Presently APSI has more than 300 members. It is our privilege to be entrusted with hosting the 9th Annual Conference at Vijayawada. Vijayawada is the third biggest city in Andhra Pradesh and is well connected from all parts of the Country. It is the biggest railway junction between east and west and north and south. The nearest airport is at Gannavaram which is 2 km from the venue but 20 km away from Vijayawada city. We will arrange transport from the venue to and from Vijayawadaís leading hotels everyday morning and evening after the programme. Several international faculty have accepted our invitation to attend and share their knowledge with us. Dr.Michael Johns from USA, Dr.David Vokes from Newzealand and Dr.Surendra Narne from Italy have confirmed their participation and attendance. We are also hoping to lure some more international faculty. We promise you an academic feast and traditional Andhra Hospitality.
