LIABILITY RELEASE READ ENSURE UNDERSTANDING BEFORE SIGNING I fully realize that horse handling and the sport of horseback riding are inherently dangerous activities. Therefore, I ___________________________ (the “Rider”) and my parents (if Rider is under 18 years of age) agree that AMF, its owners, the judges(s), and their agents, members, volunteers, assistants, and David Ayer and family shall not be liable for, and we agree to hold them harmless from, any accident, personal injury, death or property damage that may be sustained by any person or entity, including without limitation the Rider, while on the grounds or environs. I understand that this agreement is binding on the Rider and his/her parents whether or not said accident, personal injury, death or property damage is due in whole or in part to the negligence of AMF, the judge(s) or any of their agents, members, volunteers, assistants, or David Ayer and family. The Rider and his/her parents (if Rider is under 18 years of age) agree to defend and indemnify AMF, the judge(s) and their agents, members, volunteers, assistants and David Ayer and family for any claims, demands, or suits arising from the Rider’s participation in the event. Under Connecticut law, each person engaged in equestrian activities shall assume the risk and legal responsibility for any injury to his person or property arising out of the hazards inherent in equestrian sports. ASTM/SEI approved helmets are required at all times while mounted. Signature of this form consents agreement to these conditions. A representative who is of age (18 years of age or older) must sign the entry blank and who, by such signature, individually accepts responsibility and risk as stated above.
