LIVE ALOHA FESTIVAL FOOD VENDOR BOOTH REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES
APPLICATION PROCESS All Food Vendor applicants must submit a completed and signed application and pay the FULL Vendor fee for the Application to be considered for acceptance. The acceptance and placement of the Food Vendor booths on the Seattle Center grounds is at the SOLE discretion of the Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival Committee and Vendor Coordinator. No later than July 31, 2017, all Food Vendor contacts will be emailed if their application for participation is accepted. If Food Vendor is not selected, the Food Vendor booth fee will be returned to the Food Vendor at the address provided in the application. If Food Vendor chooses to cancel its participation in the Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival, Food Vendor must notify the Festival by email to
[email protected] NO LATER than August 11, 2017 for a full refund of the Food Vendor booth fee. No refund will be given if email notification is not provided or if notification is received after 12:00 midnight on August 11, 2017. VENDOR REQUIREMENTS Food Vendor will furnish its own display. Food Vendors must keep their booth neat and free of hazards. Food Vendor booth must have an adult representative present in the booth at all times during all operating hours of the Festival. Food Vendors must refrain from hanging, taping, gluing, stapling, screwing or tacking decorations or other materials onto any Seattle Center property or equipment. Set-up and teardown of provided items (including the tent) is conducted by the Seattle Center crew. All other items for set-up and tear down are the sole responsibility of the Food Vendor. If Food Vendor causes damages to the Seattle Center grounds or areas around Food Vendor booth, Food Vendor will be held solely responsible for the damages and will be billed for the cost of repair or replacement. Food Vendor agrees to reimburse the Seattle Center or the Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival for any loss or damage to the City of Seattle, the Seattle Center facility and/or its contents. The City of Seattle requires the Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival to collect from each Food Vendor a concession tax of 10% of the Vendor’s Festival net sales. The concession tax will be collected by a Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival representative at 7:00 p.m. on September 10, 2017 (the day of the Festival). The 10% concession tax may be paid in cash or by check made payable to the “Live Aloha”. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival will obtain a Tradeshow license that will cover all Vendors that do not have a City of Seattle business license. The Tradeshow license will cover ONLY the Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival. Food Vendors located outside of the Seattle City limits do not need to obtain a City of Seattle business license. In addition, each Food Vendor is expected to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding merchandise and sales taxes. The Seattle Center and the Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival accept no liability for any goods and services sold by the Food Vendor. Food Vendor is expected to independently purchase appropriate insurance coverage for the Festival. Any special requirements for electrical needs must be approved by the Seattle Center and the Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival prior to the Festival. The Seattle Center must to be immediately informed of accidents and incidents that occur during the Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival.

FOOD VENDOR ACKNOWLEDGMENT Food Vendor acknowledges it has read the Live Aloha Food Vendor Requirements and Guidelines. Food Vendor further agrees and accepts the follows:
Food Vendors are RESTRICTED from selling bottled water. Food Vendors are RESTRICTED from selling ANY products with the words “Live Aloha” on them. Specifically any goods and services pertaining to IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Clothing namely, t-shirts, sweatshirts, visors, hats, caps, shorts, surf shirts, rompers, one piece baby undershirts, swimwear, cover-ups, and footwear. Live Aloha Festival Representatives will inspect each Vendor booth prior to the start of the Festival. Any of the above items found for sale must be removed from the Booth. If Vendor continues to sell these item(s), Vendor will be fined $1,000.00 and asked to immediately leave the Seattle Center grounds and the booth fee will be forfeited. Food Vendors are required to provide its own grease buckets and safely dispose of the grease. Food Vendor will be fined $500.00 if Vendor deposits grease into Seattle Center facilities or trash cans. All Food Vendors must pay a concession tax of 10% of the Food Vendor’s Festival net sales. The 10% concession tax will be collected at the conclusion of the Festival and MUST be paid in cash or by check made payable to the “Live Aloha”. (See Requirements for additional information.)
