Dear Sunset Families, Thank you for your support with our fall fundraisers! Many of the funds raised have benefitted our efforts in creating a Library MakerSpace. We are excited to open our Library MakerSpace, and hope to be up and running shortly after Thanksgiving break. A MakerSpace is a workspace where students with common interests, often in robotics, gaming, machining, technology, science and art can meet, collaborate & create. Students will be able to engage in hands-on Design Thinking/STEM activites in our new & improved library space.
We need your recyclable "stuff". These are things generally put in your recycle bin or trash can. We'd like to "upcycle" these materials by allowing students to get creative and design something new from the old. We will have a bin located in the front lobby for students to drop off materials on an on-going basis. (You can also drop off items at winter concerts & parent/teacher conferences.) So keep a collection bag going, and when it is full send it in. :) THANK-YOU for your help in making our MakerSpace a place for innovation, collaboration, and creativity!
