Hon'ble MR may kindly recollectthat the affiliates of Federationhave recently given StrikeNotice to the GeneralManagersof Zonal Railwaysand ProductionUnits along with the Charter of Demands, which inter-alia included our opposition to the privati zation in the Railways. If negotiatedsettlementis not reachedbetweenthe Governmentand the Federations on the Charterof Demands,the CentralGovernmentEmployeesand 13 lakh railway employees will go on strikecommencingfrom 6 A.M. of l lth tuly,Zbrc. NFIR therefore solicits the intervention of Hon'ble MR to kindly take steps for withdrawing the"oiders placed with the IWs Alstom of France and IWs GE of USA for manufacturingElectric and Diesel Locomotivesand allotting the said work load to CLW & DLW.
