Knowing Jesus Christ
The Seven Last Words By:Fulton Sheen
Because Jesus is God the Son, we believe that He makes it possible for us to live a different life than the world offers. Join Fr. Colarusso to learn more deeply the Catholic Church’s teachings about our Lord.
Please join Maria Blewitt and Rosemarie DeLacy for three meetings this Lent to discuss Bishop Sheen’s book, The Seven Last Words. The book is available on amazon.com as either a Kindle book or a paperback. We will reflect upon and talk about the first and second words on March 14, the third and fourth words on March 28, and the fifth, sixth and seventh words on April 11. The book is short, so the expected reading preparation time should be manageable. Dates: Tuesdays, March 14, March 28 and April 11 When: 7:00-8:00 pm Where: Parish Center Questions? Please call Maria Blewitt at: (617) 640-0458. Want to let us know you’re coming? Please call the Parish Office at (781) 944-0330.
Mondays, 7:00 - 8:30pm, Parish Center
CRS Rice Bowl Campaign
On all Wednesdays of Lent from 6:30-8:00pm, all parishes of the Archdiocese of Boston will be open for Confession. The Archdiocese has set up a site, www.TheLightIsOnForYou.org, to help you prepare. It has info on the Sacrament of Reconciliation, on how to make a good Confession, answers to frequently-asked questions and more. Please plan to come on Lenten Wednesdays and spread the word of this outreach of mercy to those you know.
We encounter the Singh family in India, where a mother and father are using innovative farming techniques to feed their family amidst a flood. How is God inviting us to think outside the box in service to others this Lent? Visit crsricebowl.org for more.
Forty Homilies for Lent Each day during Lent, WQOM (Catholic Radio Boston) will air a reflection given by a member of the clergy from the Archdiocese of Boston. Please tune in the last 5 minutes of the 7 AM, 12 PM, or 6 PM hour each day to hear a different take on our Lenten journey. In fact, Fr. Colarusso will be the guest homilist on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th! If you’re not able to listen at those times, you can find recordings of all these homilies and other shows at thestationofthecross.com (listed under podcasts).
Join us for Eucharistic Adoration at St. Athanasius Every Thursday from 6:30-7:30pm With Confession
