Answer the following question in about 600 words : What is meant by 'Experimental Research' ? Describe different types of experimental designs with suitable examples. OR Discuss the significance of review of related literature in research. Describe the sources of information you would use for review of related literature.

Answer the following question in about 600 words : Mention the criteria taken into consideration while constructing a rating scale. Describe different types of rating scales. OR Discuss scope of educational research. Explain any four priority areas for research in education in the present Indian context. Illustrate your answer with reasons.

Answer any four of the following questions in about 150 words each : (a) Write the characteristics and uses of normal probability distribution curve. (b) Differentiate between simple random sampling and stratified random sampling. (c) How do you compute the 'difficulty level' and the 'index of discrimination' of a test item ? Discuss. (d) Write a short note on 'different types of research reports'. (e) Explain briefly the various methods of graphic representation of quantitative data. (f) Describe the steps followed for computing the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).

Answer the following question in about 600 words : Identify a problem for a research study in education using mixed method. Based on your research proposal, prepare a questionnaire with ten items and an interview schedule with ten items for collecting qualitative data.
