EXPERIENCE Kent State University | Kent, Ohio Blackstone Launchpad, Director of Technology August 2014 – Present: Helped guide people starting a business with my knowledge of design thinking, 3D Design, and 3D Printers. Helped organize events: Fashion/Tech Hackathon, Elevator Pitch Competition, Entrepreneurship Celebration and more. Van Deusen Hall, Lab Tech August 2013 – May 2015: Hired to ensure lab was properly setup and all computers had the right software and licenses. Made sure video conference software was set and ready for class. Also helped students with project questions by guiding them on tools and techniques. iD Tech Camps | CMU & OSU Instructor – three summers: 2012 – 2014 @ Multiple Locations: Taught students how to make games in various game engines, from Concept to Implementation. Organized and ran various activities for different age groups. Created individual learning experiences for students, including: milestones, troubleshooting, and accomplishments. Presented personal diplomas at closing ceremony with students and guardians. LEADERSHIP Game Project Lead – Student Run Game Project 2015 Leader - Founded and ran a student game design project. This project consisted of students from different majors collaborating on a desktop tower defense game. KSU Imagineers – Leader 2014 – Current Continued Teaching – Continued education Game Design Club for students in all majors. I teach students new technology and techniques to improve their artistic talent and portfolio work. University Innovation Fellow – Fellow Class of 2015 Innovation and Entrepreneurship – Selected to be a member of the 2015 cohort. My role as an Ambassador is to inspire and promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and design thinking on campus. Fashion/Tech Hackathon – Organizer Spring 2015 – Current Organizer - Worked with Blackstone Launchpad and Kent State University Fashion School organizers to host the 36hour Fashion / Tech Hackathon. This included hardware support, event setup, and helping hackers. Kent Hack Enough – Organizer 2015 – Current Promotion - Responsible for marketing, minor branding, and event logistics for the 36-hour event. As a member I periodically help with logistics and troubleshooting problems during meetings, while learning new technology with others.
