Harrisonburg High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Booster Meeting Minutes Monday, May 18, 2015 1. This meeting was called to order by Teresa Clevenger at 7:06 PM. 2. Present for the meeting: Teresa Clevenger, Ritter Clevenger, Larry O’Keeffe, and COL McCutcheon with Marti McCutcheon recording. Absent: Tracey O’Keeffe, and Teresa Jackson. 3. Motion to approve minutes of April 20, 2015 was made by Teresa Clevenger and seconded by Larry O’Keeffe. Minutes were approved. 4. Upcoming Events: a. May 31- June 3-MTC graduation b. June 5-Spotswood graduation and State track meet. c. June 6-State track meet and HHS Graduation. d. June 13-19-JCLC at Fort Pickett. e. September 11-13-Leader Camp at Brethren Woods f. September 12-JMU Football Concessions. g. September 18-‘Spirit of America” field trip. 5. Old Business. Teresa needs to take April 2015 minutes to Farmers and Merchants Bank in Bridgewater with check signing authority for the JROTC Boosters account. 6. New Business. a. Larry pointed out that based on his records that ARMARK owes us the January 4, 2015 JMU basketball game. Teresa said she would follow-up with Mike. b. JMU Concessions September 12-need 25+ people. COL McCutcheon said that we would use upperclassmen. c. Teresa said she would work with Holiday Inn to negotiate Cadet Ball prices. d. Car washes scheduled August 15 and 22. Teresa will check possible locations and recommended a possible picnic after the car washes. e Possible schedule a spaghetti dinner fundraiser. f. Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast fundraiser January 9, 2016. g. COL McCutcheon said that additional fundraiser for athletic gear from FanCloth at start of school year 2015-16. h. Teresa recommended JROTC Boosters establish goals for the next year. 7. Larry O’Keeffe submitted a financial report with $1,989.39 in the JROTC Booster account. 8. Meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM. Our next meeting is Monday, June 8, 2015 at 6:00 PM.
