Dr. Janet Clinton is the director of the Centre for Program Evaluation and the director of the International Teacher Education Effectiveness Research Hub at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, University of Melbourne, Australia. Professor Clinton is an internationally recognized expert in evaluation and has published extensively in the areas of evaluation, teacher evaluation, and teaching effectiveness. Recently, she was the principal evaluator for the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching project, and currently she leads the Visible Classroom initiative. She is also the chief investigator for the Teacher Capability Dr. Janet Clinton Assessment Tool project, the evaluation of the Flexible Literacy for Remote Primary Schools program, and the Assessment for Graduate Teaching project. Overall, she has led more than 110 national and international evaluation and research projects. Dr. Clinton’s talk will focus on her recent international review of teacher evaluation methods and measures, as well as findings from the Teacher Capability Assessment Tool project.
