To foster its clinical research department Institut Curie at Paris (France) is seeking a senior physician scientist (MD/PhD or equivalent research experience) with research interests and experience in Phase I Clinical Trials in Medical Oncology. Institut Curie is a world class multidisciplinary Institute composed of a Life Science Research center and hospitals with excellent interfaces for collaboration and interdisciplinary program development. Institut Curie has the French label of Comprehensive Cancer Center with demonstrated excellence in cancer research, cancer care and education. The Institut Curie provides an international level scientific and medical environment, and access to state of the art technical platforms for fundamental, translational and clinical research. It hosts a dedicated Clinical Trial Unit where patients are treated in early phase clinical trials. Around 100 patients are included in phase I clinical trials every year. The phase I program includes first-in-human trials as well as combination trials with either other drugs or radiotherapy. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and innovative Medical Oncologist with an excellent track of record in clinical and translational research and particularly in conducting early phase programs. A good practice of French language is required. Her/his mission will be to design and conduct early stage clinical trials with Biotechs, Pharmasor academics developing new cancer therapies. She/He will spend 50% of his/her time in the clinics and 50% undertaking clinical research and will also be encouraged to actively take part in pre-clinical and translational research programs in the Institute.
