Thank you for bringing desserts and veggies to the International Piano Concert ! New Name—Young at Heart is the new name of the group meeting for fellowship, coffee and devotions on the first Wednesday of each month. Their next gathering will be May 7th. You’ll recall that in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve sinned and caused every relationship to be broken—with God, with Others, with Self, and with Creation. This Easter morning we hear the angel say, “He is not here, He has risen….GO to Galilee…..there you will see him. (Matt. 28:5-7) To paraphrase: The Angel said “He is not here [LEAVE (the empty tomb—death) “GO to Galilee…..there you will see him. “ [FOLLOW the resurrected Jesus into the future]. The Apostle Paul, one of the greatest thinkers of the first century, helps the followers of Jesus in thinking out the implications of the resurrection. At Jesus’ resurrection, each of these relationships that were broken in the garden are now being restored in the garden of the Tomb.

Paul summarized this for the Corinthians in 1 Cor. 3:21 when he said:

“All this are yours...the world, life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.”
