High School Student, College Student and Adult Mission Trip

WHY MEXICO?

Photo: Spring 1996, Bayside’s 1st Mexico Outreach

THE BIG PICTURE

Bayside has been crossing the border and changing the lives of students, adults, and niños for 20+ years. During Easter week Bayside students and adults come together to serve as God’s hands and feet in Mexicali, Mexico. Mexico started in 1996 with just a small group of 26, pictured below, and has grown to over 1000+ because of the positive and lasting impact on the Mexican community and on the Americans that go. Recognize anyone from the first team? Pastor Ray?

The large group divides into smaller teams that serve all over the Mexicali valley supporting and encouraging the churches and organizations we partner with. The week is packed with amazing sermons, a close community, piggy back rides, servant hearts, fantastic food, and powerful experiences. For our Spring Break week, “Camp Bayside” (our very own camp site est. 2009) is transformed from an average alfalfa field in a rural farming town into a small city of green army tents and baños, surrounded by beautiful sunrises and sunsets and 1,000 of your closest friends and God meets everyone. If you want to be part of something bigger than the average spring break trip, join us in Mexico!

Bayside’s Breakaway Kids Camp goes to Mexico! This team partners with the local churches in Mexico to minister to the kids in the community sharing the Gospel message. Key components to impact teams are games, Bible stories, arts & crafts, worship & giving lots of piggyback rides.

Our construction teams build homes for families in need that are connected to the churches & communities where we work. These teams spend the entire week constructing a 2-bedroom home in one week. Construction leads need students who are focused, committed and not afraid of hard work.

This traveling team brings some extra fun to our Impact Teams. Throughout the week, festival teams bring a mini carnival to the churches with bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals & games.

Soccer clinics and camps are a great draw for kids in the communities we work with. Our sports teams will combine the fundamentals of soccer & key Biblical themes to reach kids from ages 5-17. Sports team members have to love kids & should have some soccer experience & a love for the game.
