TENTATIVE CLASSIFICATION OF MUNICIPALITY OF SARANGANI, DAVAO DEL SUR IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 465.

The Regional Director for Local Government Finance, Region XI, Provincial Governor, Municipal Mayor, Sangguniang Bayan, Provincial Treasurer and Auditor, Municipal Treasurer and Others Concerned.

Pursuant to Section 5 of Presidential Decree No. 465, and in view of the recent creation and organization of the municipality of Sarangani, Davao del Sur in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 1550, the said municipality is hereby classified tentatively as Sixth Class, effective June 1, 1980, the date the municipality was formally organized, on the basis of the annual income of $98,912.80 estimated to be collected this current calendar year as appearing in the financial statement certified by the Acting Municipal Treasurer of said municipality. The foregoing tentative classification shall be the basis for determining the maximum amounts expendable for salaries and wages, representation allowances, administrative aids and other statutory contributions in the adoption of the annual budgets, as well as the maximum salary rates of local government officials and employees in accordance with existing law and regulations. Likewise, it shall °a so be the basis for fixing the tax ceilings provided for under Section 19 (A-3) of the Local Tax Code, as amended. This accordingly supplements Ministry Order No. 108-79 dated December 3, 1979, of this Ministry, copy enclosed. By authority of the Minister:
