RECLASSIFICATION OF MUNICIPALITIES IN THE PROVINCE OF LEYTE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 465.

The Regional Director for Local Government Finance, Region VIII, Provincial Governor, Municipal Mayors, the Local Sanggunians, Provincial and Municipal Treasurers, Provincial Auditor and Others Concerned.
Pursuant to Section 5 of Presidential Decree No. 465, the municipalities of Barauen and Tolosa in the province of Leyte axedue for reclassification, effective July 1, 1978, however, their present classifications as Fourth and Fifth Class have been maintained considering their average annual income of P468,861.34 and 7173,176.94, respectively, actually realized during the last four (4) consecutive fiscal years (1974-1977), as certified by the Commission on Audit under letter dated December 10, 1979. The foregoing classifications shall be the basis for determining the maximum amounts expendable for salaries and wages, representation allowances, administrative aids and other statutory contributions in the adoption of the annual budgets, as well as the maximum salary rates of local government officials and employges in accordance with existing law and regulations.
