Prior Years General Account Carry Forward $16,161.19 Current Bank Balance as of 3/21/17 $43,113.41 Year to date Income/Expenses $7,504.30 Class Bank Balances: Class of 2017 $5,832.57, Class of 2018 $8,499.11, Class of 2019 $4,223.29, Class of 2020 $2,382.95.

ASB REPORT: BY ASB REPRESENTATIVES SIMRIT ATHWAL AND PRANAVI KETHANBOYINA 

   



Carnival & Game Day will be March 24th after school from 3-6:30pm. Siblings are welcomed. ASB requested PTSA donations of 2 Pizza’s and 40 Churros at a cost of less than $90.00. Motioned to approve by Deborah Rettig, 2nd by Mr. Diskowski. Motion is approved. Talent Show will be April 14th. Prom will be May 12th at Kirgin Cellars. GECA’S ASB website is being designed by Simrit Athwal, all students will be welcomed to add photos. ASB would like a donation from PTSA of no more than $1200 to purchase a Campus Camera, it would be available to all students. PTSA will discuss, and we were happy to see it was very well supported by parents in attendance. Run for Fitness was re-energized by Simrit Athwal. GECA was proud to have the most students represented within the district. The event was considered quite a success.

FUNDRAISING REPORT: BY PTSA FUNDRAISING CHAIR LISA BRUCE 

 

408 Premium card are still available. Lisa Bruce motioned to give 190 Premium Cards to GECA Alumni and 190 to ASB so they can sell them. Kathlyn Greubel 2nd, Motions passes. PTSA will keep the balance of 28 to use as thank you gifts for speakers at the PTSA Meetings. DeBritto Apples packages will be coming home on March 27th. Be on the lookout. We will also be selling Toffee and Taffy as in years past. These will make great Mother’s Day gifts. Sober Grad Night meeting will be Tuesday March 28th @ Chevys in Gilroy at 6:30pm. Please join parents of all grades to help prepare for the Senior’s celebration. More information can be obtained by emailing Lisa Bruce at [email protected] . Much help is still needed, pleases consider helping or donating.

OPEN DISCUSSION:  

Safety equipment was ordered for the Chemistry class by a generous parent. A special thank you to the Diskowski Family for their generous donation. PTSA member Lisa Bruce motioned to purchase additional safety equipment and supplies for the Chemistry classes in the amount of +/- $900, as well as 6 Ink Cartridges for the 4 Brother printers donated last year to the school in the amount of +/- $500. Kathlyn Greubel 2nds motion passes.

SPECIAL GUEST: COLLEGE WISE REPRESENTATIVE MARISELA GOMEZ 

Parents were given in-depth information regarding College Decision Making including Early Action vs Early Decision and how to be strategic on student essays.

Carnaval y Dia de Juego va ser el 24 marzo después de la escuela a las 3-6:30pm. Hermanos son bienvenidos a asistir. ASB pide que PTSA dona 2 Pizza’s y 40 churros al costo menos de $90.00. Moción a aprobar por parte de Deborah Rettig, 2nd por parte de Mr. Diskowski. MOCIÓN PASSO. Concurso de talentos va ser el 14 de abril Prom va se el 12 de mayo en Kirgin Cellars Simrit Athwal está diseñando el sitio web de GECA’s ASB, todos los estudiantes son bienvenidos agregar fotos.
