The Play
By:Abby W. On Friday, 5th - 8th graders got to go watch the play. I thought the play was really good. The play had some scary parts in it. I thought the cast did very well and the props were pretty good too. It was about a guy who turned into a bad guy, and half the time he was good. There was one guy killed. The story was placed in a girls only school. Good job CPS Theatre 13! _____________________________ Tiny island made of garbage By Lizzy F. White House Christmas By: Kelsey L. As Darlene Superville wrote in her article. Melania Trump and son Barron received the official White House Christmas Tree on November 20. It is a time-honored tradition. A military quartet played holiday tunes. A horse-drawn wagon carried the 19 ½ foot Balsam fur tree from Wisconsin up the White House driveway. “This is a beautiful tree. Thank you so much. We will decorate it very nicely”. That's what the first lady told the chapmans the other family members. “I hope you can come visit with us.” _____________________________ Czech Zoo birth of endangered Black Rhino Klarissa.S Published by. BY: Emily N. There’s a big string attached to New york’s free middle-class college tuition initiative. Students must stay in the state after graduation or else pay back the benefit. Democratic government. Cuomo said “that the requirement was added to protect the state’s investment in a student’s education”. The requirement ensures they don’t take advantage of free tuition and then leave New york. The rule wasn’t a part of Cuomo’s free college tuition proposal when he unveiled it in January. It was inserted during final negotiations with lawmakers over the state budget. I found this information from Anna Groneworld and David Klepper.

3D Printers Becoming a Reality Originally by: Emily Matchar Summarized by: Chloe D. Lipson, a professor at Columbia University has been studying 3D printing 20 years. He and his students are getting closer to making 3D food printing a reality for the average person. They started printing metals, plastics, and robot, and now even food. When they started trying to print food they thought it would be a frivolous thing, but when people saw and heard of the idea they wanted it for themselves. Now they are taking it seriously. Throughout their process they have had various levels of success. The students even broke the machine once and they all had to fix it. They are figuring out ways to cook more food at once, because certain foods need more time to cook. Their first design was way too scientific with tubes and wires sticking out, until it was redesigned to look like an expensive coffee maker.
