April 29, 2018 Hello Pioneer Families! CAASPP State testing will continue this week! PLEASE BE SURE STUDENTS BRING FULLY CHARGED CHROMEBOOKS AND HEADPHONES! ALSO ALL BLUETOOTH ENABLE DEVICES (APPLE WATCH, FITBIT) MUST BE LEFT HOME FOR TESTING SECURITY PURPOSES. Also please be sure that your student gets a good night’s sleep the day prior and eats a nutritious breakfast the day of testing. Please be sure to reschedule any appointments during this time to ensure your student is present during testing. Open House: Open House, Spring Concert, and Art Gala will be held on Wednesday May 2nd. There will be food truck vendors on site as well as a Book Fair, we hope you can join us for an evening of family fun. Classroom visitation will be from 5:15-6:30 pm, with the Art Gala and Concert to follow. This week in Athletics: Baseball and softball will travel to John Muir on Monday and host Caruthers on Wednesday, game time is 4pm. Please see our website or the Sports Section of the Weekly Bulletin for practice times. Attention 8th Grade Parents: If you student has any outstanding debt, including athletic uniforms still checked out, please be sure to clear outstanding debt by May 22nd. All debt to the district must be cleared to participate in End of Year Activities, including Banquet, Graduation, and Wild Water. Attention 6th Grade Parents: Please note all 6th Grade Students must have a Tdap booster prior to the start of 7th grade. Please be sure to submit verification of this booster to our Nurse’s Office by May 1st. Got Your Tdap? PARENTS OF INCOMING 7TH GRADE STUDENTS California law now requires students to be vaccinated against whooping cough. For the 2018-2019 school year, all students entering 7th grade will need proof of a whooping cough booster shot (Tdap). The tetanus-diphtheria booster shot, Td will NOT meet the Tdap requirement. Students will NOT be able to begin school until proof is provided to the school.
See your healthcare provider and have this immunization and then bring the updated immunization record to office as proof.
Please have your proof of Tdap submitted no later than May 1, 2018
Students will NOT be able to start 7th grade until proof of Tdap IS received by the school.
