August 27, 2007 Hello Pioneer Families! It’s hard to believe we are already in the 4th week of school! Just a reminder, if you have not yet purchased Chromebook Insurance, I highly recommend you do so. The most frequent chromebook repair is a damaged screen, which will cost approximately $64.00 to repair, insurance is only $45 and will save you money in the long run if you need to file a claim. See the sports section for more information. Our Volleyball and Football teams have their first game of the season Wednesday at John Muir in Corcoran. Game time is 3:30PM Also this week our Leadership class will be attending a leadership conference with our Middle School students. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students. Special thanks to Mrs. Vaughn for organizing this trip for our students. IMPORTANT NOTE: This week on Tuesday August 29 the City of Hanford will be working on Douty Street, as a result there will be NO PARKING on Douty Street from 8am-5pm, and traffic will be down to one lane, please plan on an alternate route for pick up that day. Attention all Grandparents… Mark your calendars… Grandparents Day is Coming! Please join us on Wednesday September 13th at 8:30 AM. Pioneer Middle School Memo to Parents Dear 8th Grade Parents,

A tradition for our yearbook is to offer parents an opportunity to purchase advertisements in the yearbook to honor and recognize their graduate. Most parents wish their child good luck in the future, send a message of love or enclosed a special poem. Please send in a baby picture if you want an ad. The pictures will be scanned and returned to you before the end of the year. We will size the pictures to fit the ad area that you purchase. This is your opportunity to make a special dedication to your graduate and help support the yearbook efforts.
