Karpagam Charity Trust was founded in the year 1989 with the aim of providing excellent educational facilities by imparting practical knowledge and skills to the youth and also catering the needs of the society in general through charitable deeds. The Karpagam Arts and Science College (Autonomous) evolved into Karpagam Academy of Higher Education in the year 2008 for the purpose of conferment of Deemed to be University status by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Vide No. F.9.24/2004.U.3 (A) dated 25.08.08. The University Education, in today's scenario, is witnessing a huge paradigm shift and at Karpagam, we are geared to be a part of that transformation. THE CONFERENCE The national conference on bioscience and bioengineering and environment (NCBBE- 2014) focuses on the recent trends and advances in Biotechnology as a novel aid in human welfare. The conference will serve as a platform on various aspects in the fields of Biology with special focus on improving the standard of modern research. Eminent researchers, technologists, and entrepreneurs from various streams of Biotechnology are brought into a single rostrum, for presenting and sharing their experiences by describing specific cutting edge discoveries. This will provide an opportunity to share comprehensive ideas on the scope and status of modern Biotechnology in India and overseas.

In order to develop newer and more efficient strategies against the problems faced by humans a progressive research with plausible output is the need of the hour. With the proper usage of available natural resources and with more keen research on unexplored areas, it is possible to find an innovative solution to fill the lacunas found in various facets of Biotechnology. The NCBBE - 2014 will be an interactive and scientifically vibrant programme. The conference consists of various sessions including keynote address, plenary and presentation sessions. Each session will be addressed by outstanding experts who will highlight recent advances in various aspects of biotechnology with focus on human health. It is our privilege to promote young researchers and students from all over the world. The main objective of the NCBBE - 2014 is to create awareness and provide knowledge in basic sciences. Hence, this will be an exciting time for students/ researchers and scientists to learn more about the recent trends in Biotechnology which would pave the way for an innovative progress in the field of science.
